Melting Clock: Med Bay's First Arrivals
Things had been running as usual down in the med-bay, and to first appearances, this week wasn't going to be different.
But first appearances could be deceiving. This week was going to be different. And as the next few days passed by, the Medical Department was going to find that they now had quite a situation on their hands.
[[ooc: Okay, so this post is just for the affected characters who go into the Med-Bay before Quarantine, the Medical peeps who volunteered, and also the people who bring in said affected characters. If you've already organised who you'll thread with for this, just put their names in the subject line. If you're happy for any of the Medical guys to tag in, then just put "Open". There's also an ooc planning post for this if you want to try and plot for this.
Also, please note that both in terms of the timeline, both Kon and Jeka will be the last two to be brought in, regardless of thread order - they're essentially the ones who'll show up right before Quarantine, and be the ones that clue in Medical as to what's really happening here.]]

She might now know much about medicine, but she knew that loosing memories couldn't be a very good sign.

"You said you healed quickly, does that include hair growth?" He glanced quietly at the young man he assumed must be from security, then back as his patient, moving the arm as gently as possible to the scanner so he could manipulate the bone. He couldn't exactly follow most of the conversation, it was obviously a private one.
"Thank you, Miranda."
Memories being lost, and what looked like a time slip.
He might need to call the Doctor.

He reached up his good hand to his hair, self-consciously.
"It grows like normal."
Uh oh.
In answer to Tim, he said, "I don't know why I did that. Why I hurt everyone. I know it probably has to do with Luthor, because...you know. But I don't know what the connection is."
He'd forgotten that Luthor used command words.
Wincing as Rory worked on his arm, he said, "But it feels like at the time, I knew what happened. Back home, I guess. Now...I don't. I feel like...there was more. It's like there's a big hole. What happened back home doesn't fit exactly right with my time here. I don't know what was even there, but it's like there's a gap now, and enough's missing around it for me to see the hole."

Tim nodded seriously to his friend's explanation. This was definitely one case where what was not there was the biggest clue-- quite literally. "You're losing time," Tim said, almost suddenly. He just barely remembered a time when that notion would have been ridiculous-- but that was long since past. Especially here on the ship. "If things aren't matching up-- if you're literally going back then you can't remember that." It was a strange thought, but it made a certain amount of sense in context.

But...she had to try, didn't she?
"Maybe...maybe I can help then?" she said, tentatively. "I...my Time Record, it can temporarily restore people. Normally I use it to remove people's injuries for a while, but I...I could try to use it to bring you forward, instead? I don't know if it'll work, but..."

All he needed was to be standing right next to patient zero on a time related illness.

"We can try that, then," he said, casting the male medic a glance before he turned his full attention back to Conner. "I'll stay, to monitor it."
no subject
She didn't know if she could forgive herself for that.
"If you do want to try it later, though...if the man says it's okay, I promise I'll do what I can," she said.

He reached for the file after settling the arm next to his patient, frowning at it thoughtfully. "Mr. Kent, you said your metabolism would burn through any pain killers I tried to give you, is there anything we can give you to help with the pain?"
no subject
"Don't worry about it. I heal fast."
He swallowed.
"There is, y'know, the problem of me needing to be restrained, though. We don't know what this is or...if it could trigger something else. So I want to be restrained. Red sun lamps and some normal restraints would do it. I--I don't wanna hurt anyone else."
no subject
"They shouldn't be needed," Tim said, looking to his friend. He could understand the concern though. "I'll stand guard for you, but it shouldn't be a recurring incident."

He nodded faintly, confirming Miranda's statement. "That's also a concern, if it reverses on it's own, whatever triggered the first outburst might come back around to cause more trouble."

They'd run rampant all over Leesburg and made a helluva mess for Supergirl to clean up during their Young Justice days before they'd gotten free.
"We gotta play this safe. Red sun lamps. Restraints. Until we know how far this is gonna go."
Much as he didn't want to.
He knew why his friend was holding out, though, and he appreciated it. Who wanted to see their best friend restrained like some supervillain criminal? If their places were reversed, he'd be protesting it, too.

"All right," he said, and turned to the two doctors. "Keep monitoring his condition then. I'll organise and set up the restraints." He'd rather be in charge of it himself, and not put it to Security as a whole. "I'll be right back," and with that he slipped away-- he was going to hurry, at least.
