Performance Tests [OPEN]

While everyone else was busy going shopping down on the planet, Setsuna had more important things to do. Namely, take his Gundam out for a test run.

Everything had gone smoothly, and all systems were functional. Which bothered him a little bit. There had been certain subtleties to the 00, sometimes it would pull on a hairpin turn, an occasional rattle in the cockpit when he pushed past a certain speed... none of those things were there. The suit was perfect. Too perfect. It was almost as if the suit was brand new.

Except the 00 Raiser had been through hell, and the odds of its GN drives being repaired after Exia and 0 Gundam exploded were faint at best. It did have all the hallmarks of Celestial Being's craftmanship, but even so, Setsuna couldn't help but wonder where did this suit come from? And its GN drives? Two more questions to add to the growing pile, and he still had no answers.

"Gundam..."

As he exited the machine, he half expected to have Trudy screaming at him again about him not asking permission before launching previously. As if he needed her permission, or anyone else's, to take his own suit outside. But as he lowered himself from the cockpit to the ground, those concerns went right out the window as he noticed the two suits docked behind Dynames.

...so, he was here now. And off in the distance he could see that Tieria's suit, which had disappeared briefly, was back again. Which meant that the four of them were together again. The thought brought the smallest of smiles to the corner of his mouth, though only for a brief moment.

"Allelujah..."

As his feet hit the hangar floor, he scrapped whatever plans he did have. After all, if Arios, along with its predecessor Kryios, were both here, his comrade was sure to show up soon enough looking for them. Setsuna would just hang out by his own suits and wait for him.

"Thank you," she said as she headed back up to the cockpit. The 00 was so much different from Exia. She would be able to do the diagnostics by herself, but she wasn't going to turn down the offer of help. She hadn't liked to be alone ever since the attack that broke her arm.

Setsuna simply nodded briefly, then followed her up. He largely tried to stay out of her way, something that wasn't easy to do given the small space of the cockpit. He also didn't complain when she sat in his seat. Again. Or even attempt to lineface her into oblivion.

"...a couple of weeks ago, Lockon asked you for help with his communications system. Did he actually require your assistance?"

"No, he didn't," she said as her fingers began to fly over the keypad. "He was asking about the mission we went on together." There hadn't been anything that she could do for his communication system. He had just been trying to question her about what she did with Setsuna.

"Duo Maxwell was asking about the same thing." Feldt can guess how well that conversation went over.

"I don't know why they wanted to know about it," she said as she continued to work. It was still odd how there was no flaws in the system. Why couldn't she find anything wrong?

"Duo seemed to want to know if we were romantically or sexually involved." Yeah. Subtle. "Though I don't understand why either of them would take an interest in that."

It was like they were being haunted by the ghost of Meliena Vashti.

There was a slight pause in her keystrokes as he said that. He had all the subtlety as a brick. No, Setsuna, you don't see her face going a bit red at his words. She quickly resumed her diagnostic, going subsystem by subsystem until she could find a small flaw somewhere.

"I don't know why he thinks that," she said, hoping that he hadn't noticed her face. She had gotten questions like that from Meliena before and she had done the same thing. Gone red and ignore them.

Oh, he noticed, but he just assumed his language caught her off guard, and nothing more. Its not as if she was interested in him like that anyway, she was in love with Lockon... which led to the odd idea that maybe Lockon thought Setsuna had stolen Feldt's affections sometime after he died, but Setsuna dismissed it on the sheer absurdity of the idea. So he was equally as willing to let the subject drop.

"Have you found anything unusual?" Beyond there being nothing unusual.

"Not a thing, which is unusual in itself. How could someone have corrected the flaws within the systems without us knowing? No one besides Celestial Being has access to the Gundams, unless Stacey does and was somehow able to do so," she said, letting the subject of their relationship drop. She knew none of the other pilots had direct access to the Gundams, no one outside of Celestial Being could get into them.

The thought of Stacey doing something to the Gundams scared her. It really did.

"They do have Veda," he pointed out, somewhat grimly. Had Stacy compromised the system somehow?

"How long would it take you to rebuild the stand alone operating systems for all the Gundams?" After how hard they fought and how much they sacrificed to get Veda back from the Innovades, they might have to sever themselves from Veda's support all over again.
