Monsters and Mazes

As you enter the Sensorium today you find a most peculiar sight.

A large black wall with a 8-bit logo reading "Monsters and Mazes"

And two simple words.

"Start Game."

Upon choosing this a new menu appears showing a series of options:

Fighter
Paladin
Hunter
Rogue
Wizard
Cleric
Bard

What to do what to do?

Ok, in a collapsing building, fighting something harmful to the touch before it gets away to wreak massive destruction.

He wishes this were the first time.

Actually, its the third.

He grits his teeth against the heat, pushing down on the hammer to try and pin her, and swings the fist with the ring on it, seeing if punching her with the ring-as-brass-knuckle will speed this process up any so he can get the fuck out.

Fuck, that hurts. Not the worst he's been hurt, but all the injuries are adding up, and he's not used to not regenerating.

Still, he has the werewithal to go bolting out of the tower, crouched slightly and covering his head, diving for the first opening to daylight.

Given that he can't read most of the text without taking a long time to sort it out, the stat increase idea is meaningless, and his usual take from defeating evil is... defeating evil... yeah, all in all, this worked out nicely. Were he home, he'd take the ring to Jack to see what he could make by binding an evil fire whatsit into something else.

In the end, the real reward? "Damn, nice game. I needed the workout."
