The gift's the thing [Closed to Ronnae]
Once Billy was situated on the merchant planet and brow-beaten with the concept of relaxation despite certain threats, there was nothing left to do but shop. Shop. And shop some more until he found the perfect present. That was an important part of relationships, right? Surprising loved ones with something special. There were things for his friends as well, of course, but the gift for her was critical.
What to get, what to get? It took hours of agonizing, studying the other shoppers, odd jobs, and haggling, but eventually a weary Billy returned to their accommodations with a bag that required both hands to carry. There, he made several attempts to open the door. It wasn't possible to do the finger scan with a bag in his hands, so it was set down. The finger scan was successful then, yes, but at the cost of the bag rolling back down the stairs. Cursing to himself, he chased it down. Of course this would happen. How on earth did regular shoppers juggle all these things?
Finally, after some jiggling of the handle with his hip, he managed to tumble his way into their apartment.
"I'm sorry if I kept you waiting an extraordinarily long time, Ronnie. As you can see, I encountered some difficulties." The man sprawled over his bag hadn't had the time to check his watch.

"Press on one of those and hold it for a few seconds. You'll see what I mean."

He had always found ways to surprise and make her happy in simple ways, she loved him so for such. She gave him an appreciative smile, still blushing at all the attention he bestowed upon her.
no subject
"Is something wrong, hon? You don't have to worry about it," he assured her, scooting forward and taking her hand. "Don't mind me---if it's too intrusive, though, I can take those things back."
no subject
"N-no it's fine I just w-wouldn't have wanted you to spend so much on me. What about your n-needs? You did buy t-the things you needed right? Things you wanted?"

From the way he was looking at her, so pleased by how the anklet and ties suited her, that at least appeared to be the honest truth.
no subject
Her face softened and she made her way to try on the anklet. She raised her small foot and eyed the present with a warm sweet smile, it did look very beautiful didn't it? A small tightening of her chest rose as it usually did when her feelings became overwhelming. Butterflies fluttered around her stomach as she looked to him, then away quickly when she noticed him looking at her. It was silly of course, being embarrassed when they were a couple. But it was something that was just like her, and unlikely to change.
She pressed her fingers together timidly and smiled,
"T-thanks love... they are all so beautiful. You are always thoughtful, no matter where we go." She blushed and smiled shyly, looking down.
no subject
"Thinking of you is easy. Not doing it is the difficult part," he admitted with a shy laugh, rubbing at his arm. "I had to find something that would match your beauty."
no subject
She simply glomped him, nuzzling onto his chest letting out a happy squeal.
"You're so amazing! I love you so much~" She mused happily, holding onto him, resting her head on her most favorite of places.

As he did so, his foot kicked back under the bed, finding...something. That wasn't there before. Huh? Curious, he wriggled under Ronnie to reach his foot there. With enough of a kick forward, he'd pull it out.
Sorry about the moving, Ronnie. That can't be comfortable.

"Something wrong love?"

A cat ear and tail tip were sticking out of the small package, with a collar probably buried with them. The sight prompted some thoughts in his mind, but he would ask first.
"Do you know where these came from, Ronnie?"
no subject
"Nope, but they look like fun~!" She mused excitedly.
no subject
Billy hopped down to the level of the package, opening it up. Bunny ears, an appropriate little puff of a tail, and a collar for the cat were also included. Apparently the last occupants really liked costumes. He hefted the items onto the bed, showing them to Ronnie.
"You enjoy dressing up, then? As a rabbit?" It was a curious hobby, but he wasn't one to judge. He simply picked up the rabbit ears, folded one to flop cutely, and placed them on Ronnie's head for a moment.
"I see the appeal."

"This reminds me of the Noblegarden event! It's held in april, there's egg hunts and all sorts of fun events~!"
She stood up and smiled, trying out the little bunny tail, and doing a small playful hop.
She suddenly blushed, pressing her fingers together and looking away embarrassed, a shy smile on her face.
"One of the events asked guys and girls to place bunny costumes on girls of all the races in our world, and shower them in flower petals. It was lots of fun! Even if sometimes things got grabby, but I'm sure it was from excitement, it was a fun event afterall!"
no subject
He laughed at her adorable hop, thinking on the report. Oh, the ideas entering his mind...
"That actually reminds me of another tradition from my world, Easter. It's ostensibly a celebration of one of our most influential religions, but the symbols of rabbits and eggs have slipped in over time. It takes place in April on most years." An intriguing similarity, he thought, rummaging in the bag for something.
"Actually, I had a package of flower petals shoved on me in the deal," Billy admitted, lifting the container to show her. "Part of a 'romantic special' with the gems, though I suspect the true intention was to prompt me to overpay. But...we could celebrate Noblegarden here, if you'd like to?" he asked, tugging at his collar.
Why was he suddenly so awkward and nervous about this?
no subject
"Sound good! I have some credits left over, maybe I can order up some of the foods, or similar foods to the ones they had for the festival?" She said eagerly.

"Well to be honest it was a heavily magical world, so they tossed enchanted flower petals on top of us that would keep showering us in them for around five minutes until the spell dissipated. Same for the costumes, they could be spelled on us from afar, which made some play it as a game. The girls hiding and the guys trying to get the costumes on them. Of course, some of the people liked being more hands on with the costumes." She replied in a more confident teasing voice.
no subject
But his smile quickly returned. That didn't sound too bad, did it?
"What about the men? Were they forced into costumes?"

He shook his head upon listening to the event description. That sounded remarkably unbalanced to him. "That doesn't seem fair. Did you have your revenge elsewhere?"
no subject
She grinned wide.
"Mama Hinzan loved loved loved helping us in that specific part. Afterall she was the Matron of the houses and Head female of the family."
no subject
"It won't be a problem if the event's mutual this time, will it?" he suggested, picking up the pieces of the other costume.
no subject
"Of course not! I actually like that plan... A lot." She smirked playfully before laughing a bit shyly, blushing.

Soon after the delivery attendant showed with the food they had ordered. She thanked him and tipped him before waving the happy attendant off.
She did a small cheer at all the delightful smells. Fruits, meats, cakes, sweets, refreshing juices and relaxing teas as well as lots and lots of chocolate everythings!
"I've died and gone to paradise." She teased jokingly.
no subject
"How similar is this to Azeroth?"
no subject
"Mmmm~ So good~!" She exclaimed cheerily.
no subject
...almost the whole time, because he did take a few moments to look at Ronnie's joy. She seemed so happy to be eating, and it struck him that it was a sight he almost never saw. That was a far less important worry than enjoying this meal and the festivities afterward, though.
"I concur. This was definitely worth it."
no subject
"Oh gods I need to find out what all this is~! It's so good! Not as good as papa, or mama's food, but dang good enough!" She mused as she drank and ate her fill. Don't worry however, she'll do a little freak out once she figures out she had been eating normally with people around, more importantly, her lover!
no subject
"I'll help you look it up later," he offered when they were just about finished, leaning back with a satisfied expression. That was wonderful.

He laughed, causing the strawberry to wobble before he accepted his half and shaped his lips against hers. This was the fun part. He kissed her firmly as a signal, tapping out a one-two-three on her shoulder. With any luck, they'd bite down as one.
How sweet it was.

He leaned his forehead against hers and slumped forward lazily, warm arms draped around her shoulders. "So what's next, love?"
Oh, she'd see him eying the petals and costumes if she looked.

"Playtime sounds good to me sweetheart." She mused a bit timidly, yet daring.
Oh the wonders of being playful in the bedroom~
