Anyone who ventures near the bathrooms will hear odd, strained clanking noises, to the point of possibly making some wonder if one of the Transformers is trying to go and having a hard time of it.

This is not a sign of one of the 'bots on board needing more robo-fiber, however.

Brainiac 5 is up to something.

Surprisingly, his techie hijinks are something he's been ordered to do--Jaime, the one in charge of the team trying to open up more of the ship has tasked him with building things to scout out where the waste goes, to use that to find out more about Stacy's hidden structures and ductwork, and that's exactly what he's doing--building an array in the bathroom to control and track the sensor-bots he's about to send where the sun don't shine.

"Hmm...still losing signal strength..."

"I'm trying to calibrate this device to track and sensor probes I'm about to send through the sewer system, to map out Stacy's inner structures."

"Is there a problem with it?" He's been edging around to get a better view, without impeding the other's movements. Sensor probes and tracking - like the chips embedded in the resistance's clothing. That he can get.

"Stacy has measures in place to shield parts of her internal structures. Therefore, there's interference in the tracking and control signals being transmitted from the probes."

"What kind of measures? A signal, or a physical obstruction...?" Some kinds of metal can screw up tracking signals, and some waveforms can do exactly the same thing. "I'm Kyle," he adds by way of (late) introduction.

"Shielding. Jamming signals," he says, clanging a wrench around.

After a pause, he adds, "Brainiac 5."

His name, of course.

"As there is another Brainiac 5, on board, my counterpart from another timeline, you may call me Dox."

"If it's jamming the signal, perhaps it might be better to use a wire to send information, rather than do it wirelessly. Unless the structures you plan to map are too convoluted, or you don't have a wire...Do you know what kind of signals Stacy uses?" He wants a look at those probes, too, but he's not sure whether this Braniac - er, Dox - would appreciate someone messing around with his work.

" A pleasure." Counterpart from another timeline. Exactly how much is Stacy capable of, anyways?

"I had considered that, but given the immensity of the ship, there may not be enough wire. And I've yet to isolate the jamming signals, but I believe I have found a means to boost signal strength, regardless."

Hmm.

"Hand me that sonic multi-tool."

He holds out a hand.

Kyle glances briefly at the floor. "Which is the sonic multi-tool?" It has his interest piqued. He's built a sonic weapon, before, but not a multi-tool.
