[Closed to Chases-Parked-Cars]
Nima had had a long day.
Between finding out that her whole world had been destroyed, and that her entire people had been destroyed before that even happened, that she was now travelling through the stars (wonderful) and was expected to participate in a war (not so wonderful), she'd been reeling through some very intense emotions.
She was already finding her footing. She'd found her glider, the only item she had any real attachment to. She'd already made new friends, which was the most important thing a nomad could make on a journey, especially on one they didn't expect to take.
And in an extra stroke of fortune, the first friend she'd made had turned out to be delightfully accommodating when it came to stress relief.
She wasn't crazy about the contraceptive shots the ship had insisted she receive, but she'd been willing to compromise once Stacy explained about the danger of detached aiva and how easily the shots could be reversed. It was logical, and she was prepared to accept Stacy's rules so long as those rules didn't involve not going to bed with Chase, to enjoy something comforting and familiar and life-affirming in the face of all this discomfort and strangeness and destruction.
Nima released all the last of her tension in a contented sigh that sent the air in the small crew quarters spinning around in a soft breeze, and propped herself up on her elbow so that she could speak to Chase face-to-face again. The big man's chest made an excellent pillow, and Nima was looking forward to using it for just that again, but for the time, she had just about gotten her fill of human contact for the afternoon.
"You know what I feel like now? Exploring."
Wasn't there a whole city awaiting them?

"Alright, let me meditate for a little bit. I've got a couple tricks that ought to help with the exploring. I've seen some of what you can do with your... air-bending thing, that's what its called, right? Aside from the obvious, I've got a few magic tricks of my own."

She sits up in the shared bed with a smile. "Well, the only one that helps me get around a city, anyway."
no subject
"Its a good trick. Mine are... mostly more minor, but spread out, learned from various spirits. Given time, I can attune myself to a place, well, a city anyway, it speaks to me, in a manner of speaking... some talk louder than others. That, and if I can get a good idea what someone is looking for, I can sometimes find it. Like, right now, I could really use some music... this place... just ain't right without it."

She hadn't dedicated a lot of her energy this round to the practices that went along with her spiritual path. Those were more involved, full of ritual, focus, and meditation, meant to raise energies in the body that dissolved the ego and spread pleasure to every part of her body all at once. Tantra tended to be something Nima brought out the second time around with a new sexual partner, after she'd confirmed there would BE a second time around.
There was totally going to be a second time around.
When she resurfaces from her brief meditation, she tuned in to Chase's words, considering with curiosity his abilities, and his current quest.
"Music sounds great!"
It sounded like they were going to be on the ship for a while. In that case, Nima wanted to know what sort of entertainment the people got up to here, as soon as she could.
(They couldn't do this ALL the time, after all.)
"I hope some of the crew are musicians. I'm not, but there isn't a woman in my temple who can't dance."

Suggestiveness fully intended - his wife was a stripper, after all. And yes, there was totally going to be a second time... and a third... and so on.
There would also be other things, like exploring, of course. There's a war to fight, and much as he plays hard, he's always been one to work hard too... which includes engineering work, salvaging from the city, training those he can... right now, the exploring and salvaging is sounding good though, both out of curiosity, and because they might find something useful, of course.
"Anything in particular you're looking for, or just exploring for the hell of it?"

She sits up again. Recent activities have left her reasonably satisfied, but she's growing restless at the call of a new place to explore. "I want to know where I am, since I don't know anything about it now. Did I tell you my people are nomads?"
Did she mention that in her future, all her people are killed? She hasn't - she's still reeling a little inside, thinking of the great spiritual tragedy that is the premature death of an entire race, and thinking that by utter chance having nothing to do with her people specifically, that tragedy has been averted. Yes - for the moment, Nima's been satisfied for sex, but she still needs something to do.
"Exploration's in our blood. I'm ready to go do it."

Yeah, the sex was good, and there is a lot more where that came from, eventually. Massive regenerative capabilities are useful. However, he's still in a new place, a new city even, that just begs to be explored.
"Alright, lemme grab my pants and Truck Stop, and we'll roll.... fly, whatever."
