Just Fly... [Open]

It seemed like it was another lazy, somewhat-boring day. It was still worrisome: was things alright? Were they still needed? Going for so long without anything happening was making her feel at edge - something Sasami shouldn't be doing as she's a kid.

In response, she opted to head for the Sensoriums to relieve some of the boredom. In rapid succession, she opted to play through different scenarios - a cooking contest, a somewhat-familiar magical girl adventure or two and a few where she was the hero and saved everyone. It was fun and all, but the fact that a lot of those adventures were dragging images of her old friends and family had started to upset her. At this point, it seemed that she was never going to be reunited with any of them...

...shaking her head, she shoved those thoughts out. She couldn't be thinking about that, not now. There was still the possibility that they were in there. Right now, she needed something to get her mind off of that. The room growing blank, she felt the gravity be shut off and letting her float in the air. The various events she had been in had worked her hairbands loose enough that, when she started floating, they came undone and let her hair hang loose... and frankly, she enjoyed it. Though, it was lonely in here...

"Maybe its not that its stupid, but useless to even think about," Hit Girl said. She drifted a moment, silently contemplating. "Like, you never start thinking about how you're raised and how tough it was or anything, you just live through it, right? That's what kids do, they make the best of what they have. Then one day someone says some fucking thing, and you suddenly start asking yourself how things would have been if."

She shook her head. "I sort of wonder what life might have been if I had my mother around."

"Well yeah, that's why its even retarded to think about," Hit Girl remarked. "If I had been normal, and it'd be me, mom and dad, the Ohm would have eaten us up and I wouldn't even be on this ship. Granted, I already accept the fact the reason I'm here is because I'm needed to kick ass or I would have been left, but whatever, right? I'm here, that's the important thing."

She shook her head. "There was this weird statue thing and it just started showing me and my friends all this shit. Showed me dad, and then him right before he died and stuff. It was..."

Well how was it? She didn't even know what to call it.

"It's more like trying to find the right word for it," Hit Girl said. "I mean, its not like its just regret or anger or something like that, I'm just sorta scrambling for the right words and failing. "It's not a good memory. but dad when out exactly how he woulda wanted: making sure I was all right, right until the end."

She did notice that about Sasami, and awkwardly patted her shoulder. "How've you been, Sasami?"

"I'll take your word for it," she said, shrugging. "Hey, didn't you want to get training or something?"

Hit Girl gave her a look. "I wouldn't have mentioned it again if I didn't want to. But I am going to warn you: I'm not like Negi, and I would know, since he teaches me too. My dad wasn't easy on me, he shot at me and made sure I'd be able to survive if I had to. A hero in my world doesn't have magic or power ups: they have their surroundings, their guts, and their weapons."

She looked Sasami straight in the eye. "You think you can learn that way?"

Hit Girl stared at Sasami a moment. She was serious, wasn't she? Well, in that case, best to set a good time for them.

"Meet me in the Sensorium two days from now, at o six hundred hours. Don;t be late."
