Poking around. [Open]
Today would find the Farseer hock-deep in uprooted dirt and grass. She was humming to herself as she dug, working out a little garden plot for herself in an undisturbed corner of Hydroponics. Her frostsaber lay sprawled out of reach of flung dirt-clods, sleeping peacefully, though every once in a while an eye would open to check on his mistress' progress.
"Aiie, Snowy," she said when he opened an eye again. "I really should have tried to invest in some tools while I was down on that planet." The 'saber just heaved a great sigh, and nestled his head against his paws.
"You're no help."
At least she was finding enough rocks to edge her garden, so it wouldn't look like some beast had decided to go on some haphazard digging spree...

On the surface this sounded ridiculous, given how large Stacy was, but after Thom had spent a day and a half wandering lost through the great City in her belly, and then spent another day turned around in her vast corridors, he found himself sticking to the populated areas. The downside of which being that they were populated.
The primer Abghalien had given him was fascinating as an academic text, but frustratingly short of where he needed to be making progress. So he carried a half-dozen tablets from the media library with him, the contents of which he bounced back and forth between.
Hydroponics was usually somewhere easier to find an out-of-the-way place. But as Thom was walking through it this time, he managed to stumble upon the Farseer's garden. "Oh for Mithros' sake," he said, exasperated, and then fell utterly silent at the sight of the draenei and the frostsaber.

Alastirra did, however, note the stack of tablets, and could at least guess at the male's intention. That just made her nod at a tree--somewhat away from the frostsaber, though the great cat was certainly docile enough in slumber.
"Pull up a tree, unless breathing will bother you. I can stay quiet enough to allow you to read in peace."

The great cat looked like it had a saddle, of all things, and what appeared to be some kind of controls. "You don't ride it, do you?"

But the smile on her face was back mere moments later. "I am Farseer Alastirra. I promise you, if you wish quiet, you will have it. I plan to plant my garden, give it a nice water, and then be off, and I certainly have no problem with you staying once I depart."
Her expression changed minutely. "Though I do admit that I am curious about what you shall be reading."

Still, if Stacy wouldn't allow him to harm anyone on the ship, it stood to reason she wouldn't allow him to come to harm. "I am Master Lord Thom of Trebond," Thom said - he still hadn't fallen out of the habit of introducing himself with his full title. "I'm looking into instances of strange magical interactions. The side effects are fascinating."
Fascinating, and absolutely useless to what he needed. Thom sat down on the tree Alastirra had indicated and set the tablets beside him.

So, since he had no one but himself to blame, the irony was not lost on him, and went some ways to explain the amused little smile he often wore while traipsing about these green fields.
From a respectful distance, he paused to watch the woman work.

It also left a slight smudge of brown dirt upon the violet of her skin.
Alastirra sensed a presence, and turned slightly, lifting a hand in a wave to the male.

"Are you new?" There were still so many faces she didn't know, many people she had not yet met.

"Hey there. Who's this?" He asks, pointing to the nightsaber.

"He makes my point for me," she said. "How have you been, Sho?"

"So you did not get to see any of it? It was quite something to see, really. Many many peoples of all sorts, more than I could describe easily. But if you want me to, I will try."

Sho frowns and shakes his head sadly. "No, I didn't make it past the first trial. What was it like in there?"

She then gestured with a hand over all her dirt. "Besides, most of this will be for everyone as well--as far as it stretches, in any case, so you are as welcome here."

"So what do you like to plant? I assume you helped your mother often?" Alastirra asked.

"Mama Naly loved flowers, specially orchids or tulips. I had a small section of miniature sunflowers to myself that she helped me with. It's my favorite flower, oh! Well... second favorite... Queen of the Night is my all time favorite... mama said it reminds her of me." She blushed heavily before continuing to help on the task at hand.

The shaman rummaged around in her sack a bit and then shrugged. "Do you have any ideas?"

"But, I did find something for you down on that planet we just went to," the shaman said, a smile on her lips. She held out the little paper-wrapped package to the Vindicator, eyes shining.
