Meditation [Open]

Breathe in, breathe out.

Matt was in a rather unorthodox position on the ground. Instead of being in one of those lotus positions that people come to associate with meditation, Matt was flat on his back with the lights lowered to a gentle hum. He was laying on a training mat and his breathing was slow, and his eyes closed. It looked like he was sleeping if it weren't for the cool glass of water in his hand.

He was dressed oddly even for Matt, in a rather feminine suit of armor, chestpiece and all. He didn't wear the helmet, but once in a while his hand would go out and touch the item that was at the side. He had rarely taken off Aqua's armor for the time being, just until he got everything under control.

In, breathe out. Sip water. Repeat.

"No problem," she said, giving him a hand up, surprised at how much easier it was.

"Oh definitely! What did you have in mind, anyway?"

She sighed. "I know, I'm sorry about that too. I was hoping to spend most of the credit they gave us on food: I wanted to help replenish your stock on the B.U.S., since you were running low. If only the requirement wasn't marriage. I don't know about you, but that's a commitment that shouldn't be taken lightly."

"Well, I do kind of wish that that we had a shore leave where, I don't know, we could have actually relaxed and didn't feel excluded. If you need help with making the bread, I'm up to it!"

She got up and walked with him, watching him intently. This was wrong, even if Matt acted like things were ok. He was such a good man, so willing to help others, it ached to think of him in pain. For now, she could at least do this for him.

"Ok, what do you do?"

Katara listened intently, and recreated it as Matt explained, following the instructions to a T. Katara was actually pretty good at cooking, so there would be no trouble there.
