Blue Sunny Day
Matt had refused to go near the City, or near the others for a while. He had a lot to think about.
So with his guitar slung over his shoulder, he had gone to the furthest reaches of the beach area, using an ability he kept under wraps. Shouldn't be people from a few miles at least, unless they had followed him doggedly.
Unslinging his guitar, he settled on a rock and started to play.
Early light that burns my eyes,
A minute more the sun will rise
And paint the bright blue sky with yellow gold
I’ll be dead asleep by then,
Shut up in this box again
Until it’s gone
Outside I can hear it
Birds are singing, bees are buzzing, sun shines overhead
I’d be there to see it but I can’t get out of bed
Since the day you left the weather always feels this way
One more blue sunny day
With a heavy sigh, he continued to play in the midst of the wonderful lakeside view he found.

He sighed. "You were probably round when Will was on board... well, the earlier Will, right? Things got complicated after GlaDoS took her."

"I don't really object to you guys. I mean. If it makes her happy. But I also care a lot about Aang and how this is hurting him, too."

"Yeah. Though, I know that sooner or later she'll be with Aang again." Matt chuckled softly. "If anything, I was expecting it, sometime, someday. I just, well, I don't want her to be sad. Even if it means bottling up my own feelings too."

"Dunno what he's gonna do."

"Aang isn't that kind of person. He doesn't fight unless he absolutely has to, and he's the last person I'd see picking a fight with you. Or anyone." He scowled, a bit annoyed by Matt's implication that Aang of all people would start trouble.
"He's like a brother to me. And I'm not happy with you guys for the pain you're causing him. Most of all because Katara hasn't really been acting like herself since we got here and I keep thinking that maybe there's something I could have done to help or something."

He shook his head a little. "To be honest, I hate seeing people in pain too. I'm not quick to violence or anything but I sometimes feel like I'm playing in someone else's yard y'know? Any suggestions would be good."

"We've had too many disagreements and arguments since we got here. Counting one about you two."

He smiled and lightly thumped Sokka on the shoulder. "I owe you and your friends an apology though, for getting together with Katara. Just because it feels like I stepped into something the rest of you have, y'know? And I need to square things with Aang."

"It's probably not going to end well."
