Simple Things

OK, so things were at least shaping up pretty good. The Outsiders were making progress and so far, she had to admit that she was generally happy. Sure, there were a few lingering things on her mind (her brother, Mai, Marco) but overall she figured letting them deal with things without her involved. Nura and her and Reimi got to bond, she had help on the ship, and there were people looking out for her on the ship: she had nothing to complain about.

So she took this moment to unwind near the Outsider's pool, not IN the pool but beside it, legs crossed, taking in the air and doing breathing exercises for relaxation.

"I'm pretty sure Ronnae will be fine with you calling her her own name, and not a part of her body. That's the type of thing that's sensitive to some girls."

"Weirdly so, with her. I told her they were nice, she ought to be proud, but apparently some people gave her grief in school over them and now she's all sensitive." Zetta rolled his eyes. "I don't get you people. You can kick ass like no humans I've ever met, but it's like you completely forget that any time you don't have some bad guy to face!"

He brought his gaze back down to Katara, asking quite seriously, "So. Girl not too far from your age? Helps stuff a little bit?"

Katara made a rude noise. "Some people should be taught a lesson when they go around insulting people. Either way, no one should be just referring to her by an anatomy. That kind of thing can make you feel a certain way later on down the road."

She nodded. "Definitely smart, and a warm girl. To be honest, I hope the two of us can hang out more."

"Good," said the Overlord with an air of satisfaction that he attempted to cover up by looking stern and awesome and whatnot.
