Slow ridin' [closed]
In just a few minutes, Billy had agreed to give Ronnae an aerial tour of the city. The RADBUG was fueled, the bits of the car he'd taken for scrap material were replaced, and it was inhabitable for a brief jaunt.
Everything settled, he parked in front of the transport tube's exit and waited for their whirlwind flight to begin. With her in tow it was bound to be memorable!

Grinning, he opened the car door for her again. "And off we go. Tell me to stop if there's anywhere you'd like to park."
He'd parked on rooftops a few times, that was always fun.

Eventually he found an abandoned music shop and parked. "You should be able to find something here."

Still, he kept an eye on the storefront just in case any danger lurked nearby. He'd come if she wasn't out soon.

They were in a majestic hall with a warm glow. "Well, this is it."

...not that anyone worked here any longer to care. He set about on his own wide-eyed investigation until he'd had enough. Then, he settled on watching Ronnie until she felt ready to play.
If it was a while, he didn't mind. It was nice to see someone having such a good time.

Thinking that enthusiastic applause from one person would echo rather strangely in here, he instead cheered her on with a hearty "That was...prodigious!"
There he went, being nerdy again.

When she was done, he felt elated. "Wow. Where did you learn all of this?"

With a light bow, she took her stance again and brought the flute up for the third and last time. This time the melody that got carried away through the air was heartwarming, a tune with an affectionate air. It was sure to move those who where in the area with it's loving notes.

Billy's ears picked up the final tune soon enough. This one wasn't mellow or jaunty, but...sweet. Reminiscent of Ronnie, actually. He could almost understand in that moment the common artists' expression of having put 'soul' into a work---he was listening to hers.
At the end of the tune, words and applause both seemed insufficient, so he waited with a smile until her flute was set aside. She needn't worry, he wasn't ignoring her, but giving her a warm hug. He surprised himself with his daring. Maybe it was something magical in the music.
"Beautiful," was all he said.

Yes, he's always this way when trying to encourage someone he likes. He gave her another congratulatory squeeze and parted, checking to make sure they wouldn't leave anything behind. "Should I drive you back to the transport tubes, or is there anything else?"
He wouldn't really mind either way.

It was a shame to part, but they could always see each other again soon.

"It's one of the reasons I went exploring for houses for us. It'll give him someplace to call his own instead of sleeping on the streets."

"At least he'll be safer. After the things that have happened on these streets I wouldn't want to sleep there."
