Having given warning to the crew as they asked -- and regretting the days in his own lands, where massive ground-shaking detonations would earn no more notice than a peddler with delicious folded bread -- Aibghalien stepped into the sensorium. With a wave of his hand he bade it produce the image of his former laboratory -- much like his current one, save the outer walls were constructed of massive blocks of stone, testament to its position in the tallest tower of the castle he once dwelt in.

Then, with more painstaking care than it seemed worth, he began forming duplicates of each of his magical items, pausing to laboriously inspect each one before setting it to one side, next to its actual twin.

This promised to be a fruitful night.

"There are a vast many dragon's on Antara, still far from as numerous as other species though," She replied easily, "Nevertheless it is an everyday sight for those in the main cities at the very least to see many a dragon about, and far from an odd ocurrence from those even in more remote settlements," Indeed it was that which helped her blend in.

Celena gave a tilt of her head at that, "Oh indeed? I am sorry to hear that for your world," she dipped her head softly.

"It may have been necessary. Legend says that the greatest dragons were far larger than even your full size. The mountains which run through my kingdom were said to be the petrified remains of a truly great wyrm." Aibghalien shrugged. "It might actually even be true. They certainly hold immense magical power."

"Indeed? Though I myself are hardly the largest of the dragon's that called Antara home," tilting her head lightly, "A vast dragon indeed that must have been then."

"Immensely so by any description," Aibghalien said, "but if she existed, it was so long ago that it escapes even the memory of my people."

Celena dipped her head thoughtfully, "Not to mention ancient in her own right to reach such a vast size," she added, the vast knowledge such would have accumulated was something one could only wish for, nevertheless she nodded softly, "One can never be sure, while some legends are but myth's there are those that a core of truth to them,"

"I suppose the gods themselves would know, but for the most part they're useless," Aibghalien said with a frown. "No, I take it back; it was probably long before their time as well. Well! I guess now I have good cause to research it someday!"

Celena dipped her head and gave a smile, "It would be an interesting topic to research indeed, should you ever get the opportunity I'm sure," she replies with a smile down to him before casting her gaze out into the rain and lightning still going on in the fields beyond them.

"I will," he said. "I will find a way, at the end of all this. Why am I a wizard if not for things like that?"

Celena dipped her head with a warm smile at that, "But of course," She replied easily as she cast her gaze out into the storm, "Surprisingly peaceful to watch wouldn't you say? Even simulated as it is,"

"Oh yes," AIbghalien said quietly. "I've been out of the forests where we elves live for... a very long time, now. Living among humans has dulled me, a little, to the beauty of pure nature. But I still have a fondness for it."

Celena dipped her head softly, a smile on her snout as she half looked back to him, "It is good thing to have, the sheer beauty that nature itself can bring about itself is a wonder of itself," she replies softly, recalling the many natural beauties she had come across in her many years.

"Elves live harmoniously with nature, unlike any other race of Cerilia," he said thoughtfully. "A human city, a dwarven fortress, even a halfling farming town represent just that much deviation from the natural. So the mebghail weakens, and where once a mage could draw great power from the sacred heart of the land, he now finds himself with just the barest trickle. Not so with elves, though. That is just one more reason my people so often hate and disdain other races."
