And We Won't Be Caught Again [open]
Somewhere on Stacy, a fleshy wall opened and ejected four people. Sherry turned and kicked the wall as it closed.
“I hope this isn’t another stupid test,” she grumbled and pushed her hair from her eyes.
“I don’t think it is, that... thing did thank us,” Namira patted the little girl’s shoulder. “So, I imagine that our testing is over, for the moment.”
[Not a moment too soon.] Nehaalista signed as she stalked off towards where she hoped the Hub was.
“I’ll take Sherry-chan back to her parents,” Miku offered. “I imagine they’re worried.” Especially if they only just realized their child had been missing for two weeks or so. Namira nodded and Sherry frowned. “With her permission, of course.” She looked back at the little girl, who seemed a bit annoyed that she was being talked over (so to speak, as she was nearly the same height as the petite Japanese girl).
“I can find my way on my own, but fine.” Sherry crossed her arms. “Can we get going? I don’t want GLaDOS to change her mind.”
“Absolutely. I have a mabari to find, myself. Goodbye, you two. I’m sure we’ll see one another soon.” Namira smiled and hurried off to care for Hakkar.
“Alright, Sherry-chan. I think it’s... this way,” Miku put her hand on Sherry’s shoulder and led her down the hallway.
((ooc note: If you want to interact with anyone, just put their name in the subject line. Miku and Sherry are available together (before Sherry is delivered back to her parents) and apart (after Sherry’s been delivered), just let me know. :3))

Miku and Sherry (obvs)
"Boon, c'mon!" she snapped sharply at the dog, turning and striding swiftly back to the main part of the ship. She didn't really know where she was headed, but made her loose destination her shared quarters with her daughter, who had been missing. Once she finds the little girl, next priority is breaking into the AI core again and bringing that bitch down for good.
Re: Miku and Sherry (obvs)
Er, somewhere.
They stopped in front of Sherry's shared room with her mother, and the little girl raced inside.
Re: Miku and Sherry (obvs)
Better not to set her off then.
"I can wait here, I guess. Maybe she's with my dad?"
no subject
"Sherry!" She sprinted the rest of the way to the room and inside, scooping the little girl up into a tight hug.
"Oh God, sweetie, are you okay?"

Miku and Sherry (before Claire finds them)
"Miku! Sherry! How are my two favorite no-longer-missing girls?" he asked, clapping a hand (lightly) on Miku's shoulder and ruffling Sherry's hair.
Re: Miku and Sherry (before Claire finds them)
These things, Paco. Why do you do them?

they irritate tiny serious blond girlshe cares, Sherry. Because he cares.Paco laughed at Sherry's flailing and crouched down to her height, grinning unrepentantly. "Terribly sorry," he said. "Will you ever forgive me?"
"Yeah?" he asked Miku. "GLaDOS huh? Pain in the as--" Woop! Small child present! "--butt she is. Glad you're back. You want me to hunt down Steve while you deliver the half-pint to her parents?"

Miku (by herself) I R GUD @ POSTAN
So that's why Steve came racing down the hallway of the ship, in a mood about as foul as the language spewing out of him. Screw that bullshit about avia and souls falling out, whoever built that piece of shit AI was going to pay with their lives if he didn't find Miku right the hell now.
LOL obb.
She didn't really like playing the Find Steve game, but she also didn't want him to throw a fit if she just waltzed back to her room to properly sleep. Miku looked down one end of a hallway as she stepped out and turned her head to see Steve stalking down the hall.
Well, let's be honest here; she heard him before she saw him. "Steve!"

"Oh my god, oh my god, I'm so glad you're back! I was so worried! I thought you were gone for good! I'M GONNA KILL THAT GODDAMN PIECE OF SHIT AI!" he said, all in one breath.

Nehaa, hallways!
Still, it wouldn't hurt to check on her.
"Nehaa. The mission on your mind, too?"
Re: Nehaa, hallways!
Goliath is not in the mood to have left his castle. He wouldn't have left at all if he didn't owe Kang one hell of a sincere thanks.
He happens to find the draconian more or less as he is greeting Nehaalista. Goliath may not owe her his thanks, but he recognizes her from their brief meeting.
"Kang, my friend." Nehaa, whose name he thinks he can remember (look, they're still kind of new concepts to him), he nods at. "I've no wish to interrupt, but I would speak with you."

Sherry (after being delivered to her parents, maybe Claire can be there so Kon can meet her better?)
All the portal-running and traps were nothing a little kid should have to deal with, so he wanted to make sure she was okay.
So: Knock knock knock.
"Shere-bear? You in there?"

"I'm here," she yawned as she opened the door. "Hi... Hi, Kon."

Nehaa (Returning to her quarters)
They turn down another hallway, "You know... it just doesn't seem healthy. If it looks like a slime... why would you want to eat it? Slime sludge goop what ever, it doesn't look like a nice haunch of meat is all I'm saying." - She swung one of her long ponytails behind her with an annoyed huff only stopping to pat Fontaine on the head.
Re: Nehaa (Returning to her quarters)
"Slime? Ooze? Please. I think you're giving them too much credit. I didn't even see any bones in mine. And where's the usual beaten lock box with a treasure inside? Not even a rusted mail boot..."
He threw his hands into the air in an exaggerated motion and shook his head.
"I think if you're not even going to offer some excitement with it...might as well think of it as something els-oh! I know!" He exclaimed, suddenly.
"Succubus wings cooked over a fel-fire pit."

But, in light of that last mission, it was nice to drink and forget. The vindicator hiccuped as she walked from the Hub and into the hall that would lead her to the crew quarters and her bed. And her cat.
But, a pair of quibbling voices stopped her in her tracks. Intrigued, the Vindicator put her head around the corner of a hallway and raised her eyebrow.
The back of that night elf man's head seemed familiar. And so did that dog.
...For the love of the Light and Velen's illustrious beard, it couldn't be. And... were they... seriously talking about eating succubus wings? She put her fingers to her lips and whistled sharply. The nice thing about not having a discernible voice was that it didn't stop her from whistling!

Namira, probably halls.
Was that?
Yes. Yes it was! Alistair, clearly overjoyed, gave a happy yelp from behind. It took everything he had not to give Namira a big, cheerful hug.
He restrained himself. Somehow. Probably by bouncing like Hakkar might, if the mabari hound knew his mistress was back.
At least Alistair didn't slobber.
Much.
"You're back!" he exclaimed. "I missed you! I met a talking mage cat while you were gone, can you believe it? I said I'd introduce you but that you'd have to leave Hakkar with me...or something...well, I'll figure it out, but, you're back!"
Aww, he's happy to see you!
Re: Namira, probably halls.
Namira offered her arm, and winked.
Re: Namira, probably halls.
Not that he'd ever admit it.
He linked his arm with hers. "It really was a cat. I saw it in the Mess Hall. Black and white. I don't remember if it had a name." Though it probably did, Alistair, and you just forgot it, if Arhu had even told him in the first place.
Being a cat, and being smart, he probably hadn't.
