Drinking it up

Well, Ruffnut would be anyway. Hit Girl couldn't and definitely wouldn't drink anything alcoholic: as far as she knew, drinking dulled the senses, and that was something she couldn't afford. Maintaining the persona of two different people on the ship was no easy job, and it required her remembering herself and what she could and could not say.

Instead, she'd save a spot for her sparring partner to pop over and talk and converse. If the barmaid came over, she guessed she could order a soda or something. If anyone else wanted to converse with a ten year old girl wearing a superhero outfit though, they were more than welcome.

"I blamed him. It wasn't his fault, but through him they captured dad and him, actually. Tortured him, beat him, and then I came to take them out. Then in the fight...they set fire to dad. He started screaming out instructions, how to take them out so I wouldn't get hurt. I did, but it was too late to stop the fire, ya know. So I blamed Kick ass, he was the one that led the bad guys to us and stuff."

She shook her head, and grabbed Ruffnut's drink again, taking another drag. "I don't like talking about that stuff, because it sucks, but you're my teammate, so I figure it'll come out eventually."

Ruffnut nodded in understanding and would have gladly surrendered her entire drink to Hitgirl if it would make her feel any better. "At least you got the bastards." She decided, "He'll be proudly watching over you from his place in the stars." She paused in thought and added, "Heh, I guess we're alot closer to our ancestors these days, flying through the stars."

See, this was one of the reasons Hit Girl liked Ruffnut: none of that sympathy stuff.

"That's why I'm here and training. Wherever dad is now, he's gonna be expecting me to do my best. So long as I'm stuck on this ship, I'm gonna be shaping up my skills. I may not care that much about Earth, but it was my home. I think a good spot of vengeance is in order."

"You bet your tiny butt!" Ruffnut cheered and took another swig. "We're gonna stomp those bugs so hard their ancestors are gonna feel it!" She threw out a dramatic thumbs up "Revenge is a dish best served."

Though she was missing part of the phrase it didn't matter, she got the point.

"My tiny-" Hit Girl actually looked startled for a moment before shaking her heda, laughing. "Yeah, we'll do that. Revenge IS a dish best served cold."

No, Hit girl didn't know much about Star Trek but she definitely knew the beginning of Kill Bill.

She heard an alert on the Omnicomm, ansd looked at message, then had a few responses before turning to Ruffnut. "Um, I'm supposed to teach you how to use the Omnicomm, and apparently we're going to have a major training session with the overlord soon."

"The what now?" Ruffnut asked finishing off her third drink and setting it aside. She hadn't so much looked at another Omnicomm since she found out it involved reading and writing. Again, too complicated in her mind. Waste of time. Hiccup's sort of thing.

Hit Girl sighed. "Look, I know you think its annoying, but read this stupid thing. You actually get information about people and shit on here, and the Overlord is gonna expect us to read it anyway. But whatever, look here he's going to want us to get ready for some new training session or whatever-give me that!"

She finishes the drink, thrusting the Omnicon in Ruffnut's direction. "Read that!"

"You drink pretty well for someone too young to drink." Ruffnut teased taking the Omnicon and looking at it disinterested. An eyebrow quirked as she realized she actually understood the scribbles and unfamiliar runes on the screen "Weeeeeird." She commented before looking at Hit Girl, "So we gotta go now?"

"I'll say," Hit Girl said. "This stuff tastes pretty awful to me too, so that's saying something that I'm keeping it down."

She shrugged. "Considering what we might have to do next? Yeah, I'd say ts time to go."

Ruffnut slid out of the booth and stretched "Well we should do this again. You're awesome to hangout with." She grinned.

Hit girl grinned. "Well, you're about to hang out with me some more, right? Let's get going."
