It had been the usual mission briefing, not that any of them remembered it. The crew knew they were gone and had no idea when they'd be back, and likely wouldn't attempt rescue for quite some time, especially with Stacy considering the mission "ongoing."

They had no idea when they'd be back, either, namely because they never remembered being on the ship in the first place.

It was home. It had always been home.

Kang recognized the man immediately and nodded his head, "You just missed him by about... ten minutes. Is it something important?"

Damon really needed to learn to relax, and break some rules sometimes.

Damon sighed. "No, no. I had hoped to stop him before he had anything to drink." For once. But it seemed that Damon was not a very good assistant.

[governorkang]

"You shouldn't worry about him so much. He's a good man, and a few drinks every now and then isn't a bad thing," Kang chided, patting the vacant seat next to him. "Come, sit down. I'll even buy you a beer if you want."

"If it were only every now and then I would not be worried." He glanced at the seat. "I really shouldn't." But...

[governorkang]

"I won't tell if you don't," Kang grinned.

"I don't remember the last time I had a drink." Daimon ran his hand along the back of the seat. Ah, he shouldn't be here. Yet, he'd come all this way. And he was trying to make more of an effort to get to know people. "I suppose one won't hurt..."

[governorkang]

Kang laughed, taking a drink from his beer, "So what's your poison?"

"Ah..." Daimon tapped his fingers against the counter. "I'm not sure. What are you having?"

[governorkang]

"Guinness. If you're used to Bud or Miller, this might be a bit much for you, though," Kang shrugged.

"I am used to neither. Ah, would a budlight be good then?"

[governorkang]

Oh, this could be a fun night after all. "Let me guess. Wine." Kang caught the attention of the bartender and ordered a Bud Light for Damon.

Daimon smiled almost guiltily. "Wine, yes." Usually not more than a few sips of it too but Kang would find that out soon enough.

The bartender passed him the drink and he paid the man. "Thank you." He paused before taking the first tentative sip. He recoiled- not quite sure what to make of that. "It's strong." Or at least it seemed that way to him.

"Thought so."

And then, Kang laughed, "I told you I'd buy you a drink. You really must not be used to alcohol if you think Bud Light is strong."
