Reunion [Closed]

After spending some time in the Sensorium with Irma, Nunnally returned to the room she was sharing with Lelouch. She couldn't wait to see him again. It had been so long, he must have been so worried...

She poked her head in and looked around. "Brother?"

Not even Lelouch? She reached out to take his hand, smiling as she did. She had to know what he really thought, and as of yet she still couldn't quite read people's emotions by their faces or eyes. There was only one way she really could.

"Thank you. I'll do my best. I just hope I'm able to be of some use to the people here."

She would find that he was indeed worried, but not from doubt of her skill, but uncertainty in whether or not she has the mental fortitude to fight in a war such as this. Whether or not he wants her to have it or not. If he should try to convince her she doesn't. Underneath it all, he was terrified of losing her in battle.

"I wonder if I should try out too," he wondered aloud. Mostly just to see how she would react.

Her smile didn't quite fade, but it grew a bit more sad.

"I'm sure they can use all the help they can get," she replied cautiously. "And with your Knightmare Frame here, you won't even have to get used to a new set of controls." It did worry her, though, the thought of Lelouch on the battlefield. He had done so back home, but this wasn't the same Lelouch. He was more... fragile, it seemed.

"Shinkiro's battle systems are invaluable, and they collected a wealth of information on Zokez II." He reached out and put his hand on her shoulder. "I'll make sure you stay safe."

"I'd like to see it in action sometime," she admitted. She sighed inwardly. "Ah... thank you, Brother. I know you will."

Just like her Lelouch always had been. Some things didn't change between universes, did they?
