The Sinking Feeling You Get When You Eat Magic Food

Welcome meatship crewmembers to the instrument of pure silly.

It had been a long period of waiting, but a prank was about to be issued after these dire dark times. As such, tables were set up around the WITCH Bus and other locations, unmanned stands where Lemonade and Brownies were available with the compliments of your friendly companions.

Do you dare risk chocolately goodness or sour-sweetness to discover it's dark delicious secrets?

(ooc: tag around, bug others and feel free to continue to madness. IC duration is about a day. Unless you deliberately take more with you. As a reminder, Lemonade brings you up ages to a good looking adultish level. Brownies turn you into kids. GO NUTS. Refer to the ooc post for details and ask questions there.)

She nodded to both of them, clearly happy that they both had liked what she'd done. "Thanks, I figured I could start with the directions on making a regular earth sandwich and then improvise with the meats from the planet we were on last. I'm glad they were this good."

She gave Tavros a friendly pet and looked over at Matt, her eyes dancing a little. "So how have you guys been doing?"

"Pretty good, um... apart from the obvious. But, my day's getting better. What about, you two?"

"Well mine is definitely improving some more," admitted Matt honestly. "Now that I've got good people to share it with."

"Same here," she said, trying to hide her pleasure. "Here, I looked through this cookbook and made croissants, a food that's supposed to be for breakfast I think. Tell me what you think!"

She brought each of them a plate. "It's the last of the food I got from that planet, but I thought I'd save it for a special occasion. "You know, I don't think we get to have enough nice times like these without something bad happening. We should probably take this time and enjoy ourselves."

She lay on her back, looking up and sighing. "What did you guys do when you had times like these to just kick back?"

Tavros gamely tries a little of everything and compliments Katara on her cooking. It's all pretty good stuff. He's a lot smaller now, though, so he can't eat as much as the other two.

"Mostly, I played card games with my lusus. Or, did jousting practice, or, uh, tamed animals and stuff."

"It's great! Very savory," grinned Matt.

"As for stuff I did, well I usually clean, maintain the bus. Sometimes I go work out, conjure up a regular gym and play some basketball."

She started to cut up pieces for Tavros, of course. She wanted to make sure that he got to participate with what they were doing, even if he was small.

She started on one piece of the croissant, thinking a moment. "When we weren't running for our lives, we would take the time to get to know the local flora and fauna, experience what new and different things people were doing. We didn't like everything we saw, of course: some people fought all the time, like they do on the ship, and some were very hostile to us. But the best thing about that, and even now, is the not knowing: we never know what the day will bring, or what new ways of thinking are possible."

And slowly, her hand creeps toward Matt's. "If anything, I think my only regret is not getting to get off the ship as much as I'd like."
