It had been a long period of waiting, but a prank was about to be issued after these dire dark times. As such, tables were set up around the WITCH Bus and other locations, unmanned stands where Lemonade and Brownies were available with the compliments of your friendly companions.

Do you dare risk chocolately goodness or sour-sweetness to discover it's dark delicious secrets?

"Sounds like something he had to wear once back home, actually." Asuna noted, not all that surprised by what Chamo had him wear.

The look on her face soon became a semi-confident one, though. "...Of course! Wouldn't mind meeting your friend one day, but...! Who else would be able to keep him from getting out of the hot spots he's gotten us into? Or remind him that he needs to depend on his friends more instead of keeping us at arm's length?" Asuna was touched at what Katara had said, however.

"Yeah, he told me it was," Katara said, still wondering why anyone would make him wear something like that to begin with. Obviously, bishonen is not a term in her vocabulary.

"He knows better than that now, actually. He has a student, and he's going to need all the help he can get. Evangeline's helped of course, but just in case he needs assistance, I made sure to make a Pactio with him. You were first though, right?"

Cosplay must've escaped Katara's notice as well, Asuna partly wondering what world the other girl originally came from not to know about certain things that were like second nature to her.

"Doesn't seem that way to me, with him and his friend Devlin merging with that one device a few weeks ago and his body being left underneath a sink...!" Asuna stopped talking once hearing that Negi had made a Pactio with Katara, then tilted her head to the side before nodding at her latter question, cheeks flushed just a bit.

"When you said he'd talked a lot about me I didn't think he'd tell you everything about me!"

Oh, she knew about cosplay, but only pretty recently thanks to Rein, but she was still getting used to the strange things other people did.

"Oh, that was one time," Katara said, laughing. "It was a really stupid thing to do, and I made Negi promise he would never do anything that thoughtless again, and I knew you and Arika would punish him for it.

She looked a little surprised though. "That bothers you? I did it, but only because I wanted to make sure I could protect him. I figure you must be pretty special if you were the first person to try to help him in that way."

"One time for you, about 1,000,001 for me." came Asuna's response, hands placed on her hips in that child-like manner she used to have. After a moment or two, she let out a slightly mature sigh before going on.

"It used to, since I was the first person he performed a Pactio on...and since I'd been the first to figure out his secret, I got it into my head that I could be the only one to protect him, and that he wouldn't need to shoulder the entire world himself. I've grown out of that, and since then I'm just gonna make sure I get stronger while being at his side...just like a knight."

She was pretty sure that's an exaggeration, but she kept that to herself anyway. Negi's situations did demand a bit of patience. "He doesn't invite these things," she pressed. "They just happen. It's not like he wants them too. He just cares about you. I don't agree with him, but at times I understand. He cares a lot about you. You getting hurt, killed...it would kill him."

She knew a little something about that worry.

"That's fine, but he will find a way to get stronger himself. He wanted to gain that strength too, so he can reach his father's potential. He needs a level head, but he also needs someone who won't override what he's trying to do. He needs to get to a point where he can go over what he knows..and I know you can lead him that way."

If there was anything abut Negi she saw, it was gaining strength to care about the people that helped him.
