It felt weird to be here in Castle Wyvern, without the stone building's usual occupants present. But, as he reminded himself, someone had to look after it, since Goliath and Elisa were no longer able to, and he was the only person left on board from that world.
Peter entered the library, and, given the lack of light to read by, used his Spider-Signal to hunt around for the lightswitch, and, once he found it, pulled out a book at random before starting to read.

He'd found himself cooking a lot of it in the last day or so after that...Punishment....incident. It had disturbed him on a nearly visceral level and coupled with Stacy's Jekyll-and-Hyde appearance? It had struck far too close to home.
Unfortunately, with all the food he'd produced in a Sensorium, Renne discovered that no, he couldn't eat it all. Thus, he'd taken to going about and offering most of his dishes to anyone that might wish to have a bite.
His most recent trip takes him back to Castle Wyvern. Chirping curiously, Renne at least tries to knock once he finds the place's door. Balanced on his head is one of his covered dishes, though the domed cover doesn't do a damn thing to mask the savoury smell underneath.
"Eee? Hell-loww?"
no subject
"Renne. What're you doing here?

That's how he always cooks though; enough to feed an army. The platter balanced on his head is decently sized enough. Just think of what he's still got back in a Sensorium chamber!
no subject
"....um, You don't mind if I eat it, do you?"
no subject
Nodding, the ghost of a smile passes his face.
"Noh, Rrrr-enne sharrrre wi-th yeu."
Actually, that kind of makes him feel a little better, getting to share his food with someone and dine not only in thanks of Goliath still being alive but more to the fact, that Renne hadn't forgotten Spidey's little move in the City.

"Okay,it's been a while since I've actually been here, but I think there's a room we can eat in down the hall way to the left."

Chirp. He'd only been here a few times so he hadn't gotten to know the place all too well. Now with Goliath gone? He half-wonders if being here is proper. Idly, his hand moves to trail over his newest tattoo.
The shield was Goliath's...
Half lost in thought and half trying to navigate properly (by trailing the right-hand wall), Renne follows the Human onward.

"Okay, TV room. Not what I was looking for, but it'll work." he said, putting the dish on the coffee table, hand pausing out scratch marks gouged into it by Bronx. He shook off the slight melancholy that had settled, knowing that he should probably try to keep that particular emotion it to a minimum. Given that he was now living in the home of some f the few people who actually got why his alter-ego existed, the constant memories would probably keep him in that state indefinitely if he didn't keep a rein on it.

He's been around a great hodgepodge of technology, going from swords and steel to starships and dilithium crystals. However, there is still a great deal of it that he's not yet encountered. Thus, the puzzled trill.

"Oh, right. You don't like magic for some reason. It's not actually magic, just an easy way of explaining technology that you're not familoar with and that I don't really wanna explain."
no subject
It's a quiet but very blunt truth as to why he hates magic so much. His tone is laced a little bit with "I don't trust anyone with knowing this but there's no real way to avoid it".

"I'm a scientist, even if I have ended up having to deal with a ridiculous amount of paranormal stuff ever since I started hanging out with the Clan."

"Nerd" to him, is not an insult; it's something good.

He hadn't meant it as one but he's still working on various linguistic aspects of English as it is. For a moment, his left hand runs along the tattoo on his right forearm.
The shield had been chosen in the design with Goliath in mind.
"Yeu wahn-t hell-p? Is big Kass-uhl."
no subject
"Thanks for the offer, but I don't really know you all that well, and definitely not well enough to know if Goliath would approve of you helping out here. No offense, it's just that I'm trying to keep all my decisions about the castle limited to what Goliath would approve of. It's his home after all, not mine."
no subject
A nod, a chirp and admittedly, a slight lowering of his ears. he recalls past times here but.. No. Goliath's...gone now. Asleep, idiot. Not gone....
"If tha-t be wha-t Guy-iff wahn-t."
He had named Goliath as a friend and as such, he had taken on the duty to abide by a wish, even wish relayed by proxy.

He doesn't ask out of sarcasm, rather out of genuine confusion. With a twitch of his ears, he drops into his longer-used crawl, then moves to offer the Human a slight nosing. It's probably ironic that despite his contact with Humans and other sentient creatures, his communcation remains well rooted in the simple ways of other animals.

Not entirely quiet, though, Who was there? Soon, Peter would see a green light followed by a floating girl who suddenly looked apologetic.
"I apologize! I was not aware that this was your home."
no subject
"...it's not really my home. I mean, I guess technically it is because I'm going to be living here for the foreseeable future, but I'm just looking after it since Goliath either got grabbed by GLaDOS, or was put back in a pod."
"Anyways. Hi, I'm Peter Parker, occasionally known as Spider-Man. You?"
no subject
"I am Starfire, and I am pleased to meet you," she chimed, smoothly offering a hand. "You are the hero with arachnid-based powers, yes?"
no subject
Taking the proffered hand, he said "That'd be me. And despite any rumors you may have heard, I definitely don't shoot webs out my butt."
no subject
Hooray, a handshake! Starfire is delighted. "There have been rumors? I understand the spider's predicament, but who would discuss that? It would be inconvenient for a human body, would it not?"
Great, you have her thinking about this in detail. Thanks Peter.

She'll let the subject drop now. "How many of the books have you read?"

She flitted about, briefly glancing at the spines. "Then you work in the departments of the sciences?"
no subject
"So, uh, is Starfire you real name or just your superhero name?"
no subject
Starfire nodded, a small grin on her face. She heard that question about her name rather often. "It is the closest translation of my name in your language. On my planet, it is pronounced Koriand'r."

"To be compared to a rock is not bad! It means that you are strong and stable, does it not?"
