Punishment [Warning: Graphic Imagery]

As the ship was going about its normal business of the day, everything is interrupted when Stacy broadcasts a message to the crew.

||Attention, crew. Your crew mate, Big Zero, has acquired 15 Violations. Therefore, she will now be given Punishment. According to the guidelines in place for Punishment, you are hereby requested to report to the Observation Deck to view the procedure. Though it is not mandatory, it is suggested you attend anyway.||

||It will serve as a reminder that there are consequences to breaking the rules.||

For those brave souls who decide to attend, they'd find Big Zero strung up, dangling from the ceiling of the Obs Deck by her hands, surrounded by a spherical force field.

It was to prevent anyone from...interfering.

She was still a little mashed up inside, but clearly she was doing far better than she had been the last time Zetta had seen her.

She had shown up to get an idea of the things that might be in store for her if she wasn't careful about her actions. Finally she'd have an idea of what she might face.

"For a while I thought Ruffnut might've gone and picked a fight with that thing. Guess she didn't though, which is a nice surprise and relief."

Zetta felt the limitations of his book body more and more acutely the longer he stayed in it, too.

Nanashi was actually unphased by the gore, but the thought of that occurring to her made her skin crawl and her ribs ache again. "I thought a demon overlord would be pleased by such monstrosities."

'Right, Nanashi,' whispered Kano in her ear, 'because you have not done anything like this to anyone yourself.'

"If she picked a fight, she would've gotten a violation too," Zetta said quietly. "And no ship is gonna do anything like that to MY apprentice.

"That's going too damn far for anyone's tastes. Even demons have damn STANDARDS."

Her stomach sank. So, even a demon was better than her? Kano jumped on that like a pogo stick. 'The angels had you pinned just right! A devil! Queen of demons! A corrupted and disgusting soul!'

She let on no more to Kano's words than a irritated twitch of her eye. "It truly is," she lied, "there is no reason to torture someone. It will however deter people from breaking the rules."

And make those who would have their way even more careful about keeping it secret.

"Doesn't matter," Zetta grunted. "The rules are stupid and arbitrary to begin with. This doesn't accomplish a damn thing..."

Nanashi, of course, would be mortified to fins that Zetta could tell that Kano and her mother were both around, in her head.

It definitely would not be the first time he would have felt that, and far from the last time he would.
