It wasn't often that she got injured to the point where she was stuck in the med bay for more than a day. Steven managed to do a number on her though, and there was still things inside her that were fixing themselves. Her lung was still punctured, likely because there was probably a bone or something keeping it from actually closing.

As much as that hurt, what was really bothering Nanashi was being stuck in bed. At the very least her normal schedule didn't allow for free time, even if there wasn't an entire country hinging on it. As a result, she was slightly cranky and desperate for conversation.

"Eh. Being around all these humans is doing weird things to me, and I'm not sure I like it," Zetta said with a severe frown. "All this 'playing nice' and 'having minions' and not having a body."

She laughed a bit more, coughing, "Really, Zetta, you are such a comedy act, Sam will throw you out for making me lose more blood."

"What, can't you just drink some more?" One eyebrow went up. "I thought the synthetic crap did fine for you."

She groaned, "it also tastes... Well, I do not know what it tastes like, but not blood. And I have been having some, begrudgingly. I do not want to burn through all of our blood stores either. It still is not good for me to keep losing what is inside of me."

"Eh, fair enough," he said, failing to shrug. "I'm kinda glad I don't have to eat any more, tell you the truth. I get the feeling I wouldn't be happy with the fare."

"I may not have had a wide variety of options back home, but what we did have... well, it was good enough that it was impossible to tire of it. Even the blood here is just as good, when it is real blood at least."

"Don't get me wrong, I miss eating!" Zetta said. "I miss a damn LOT of things about having a body! I just figure even if I could eat, I wouldn't WANT to, from what everyone tells me of this crap."

"How long have you been without it? You seem to complain a lot about it, after all..."

"Since I woke up here. A few months... I guess?" He'd completely lost track of time. In some ways it's felt like he's been like this forever. "You'd complain a lot too if your soul got sealed into a book. Seriously, imagine how you'd feel if... I don't know, Katara, could fight you to a draw because you had no freakin' limbs!"

She would have to give him that at least. It would be very frustrating, "but at the very least I would have my wit. I would still get things done."

"Yeah, but while you're more used to that than I am, you'd take a huge hit in the sex appeal department." Zetta sure as hell had! "Not that you can't get by without it, but don't tell me that wouldn't make things harder."

Nanashi rolled her eyes, "I don't know how much of an affect that would have here at least. Everyone is so caught up in this concept of monogamy and faithfulness to partners."

"What makes you say that?" Zetta blinked. This is what comes from hanging out with nothing but adolescent girls on the ship for some reason. Seriously, what the hell.

She raised an eyebrow. "I have been rejected multiple times for that reason."

And then there was Sam.

"I still do not think I can fully understand the reason, but I'm not about to go forcing someone into it." Stacy would definitely give her a violation for that.

"Heh, the reason is humans have this really stupid viewpoint on love," Zetta scoffed. "I don't get it. We demons are SO much more sensible about that sort of crap."

"I got that much..." She chuckled a bit and coughed, "If you had a body, then perhaps we would be able to have some fun."

"Perhaps?" Zetta grinned. "You couldn't have resisted this much gorgeous hunk of man."

But Zetta sobered after a moment, with a rare flash of insight (like a lone candle in a very deep, very dark cave full of bats). "But I like talking to you, and I probably never would have found THAT out if I had a body."

He sounded like the standard play-boy, confident in his looks. The appreciation for talking though was something she hadn't expected though. She was surprised, first because of the fact that he was admitting a fondness for her, and secondly, and even more shockingly, it was a concept that required self-reflection, however small.

She breathed to speak, but took in more air then she was able to without creating that tickling feeling in her lungs, having forgotten her state in her surprise, and went into a fit of coughing again, spraying a decent amount of blood back into her hand. "Well, you know now," she struggled between choking breaths.

Hey. It's true. He's freakin' gorgeous. Not his fault he knows it.

"Yep," Zetta said. Note he doesn't seem at all bothered by the fact that if he just stopped talking, Nanashi would stop spitting up blood. "At least there's certain... physical aspects of... things... I don't have like this, or this no body thing would be a LOT more frustrating."

She was so not used to it. 'Taking it easy'... It really wasn't all that easy.

She managed to calm down her coughs by focusing on ceasing her breath, and she tried again, more carefully this time, "I am afraid that I do not know what you mean..."

She's forgetting that almost everyone else on the ship perform certain bodily functions on a daily basis.

"Means I don't miss a castle full of subservient succubi quite as much as I would otherwise," Zetta said, with a 'why do I have to spell this out to YOU of all people Nanashi?' look.

"Perhaps knowledge of what these 'succubi' are might help me understand what you are trying to get at."

"How did you not--?!" Zetta just stared at Nanashi for a moment, before giving a shrug. "Female sex demons."

She smiled slyly, "Well, I certainly wouldn't mind some of those."

Then she remembered that, though immortal, and powerful, Zetta was not bound by the same physiological rules as she was, even when he did have his body.

She actually went a little red as she realized what he meant. "Well, of course. I forget that humans and others have to perform such tasks..."

"W--what are you thinking!?" Now he's staring at her -- both because he was amazed to see her blushing, and because what was SHE thinking?

Seriously, he was thinking S-E-X too.
