It wasn't often that she got injured to the point where she was stuck in the med bay for more than a day. Steven managed to do a number on her though, and there was still things inside her that were fixing themselves. Her lung was still punctured, likely because there was probably a bone or something keeping it from actually closing.

As much as that hurt, what was really bothering Nanashi was being stuck in bed. At the very least her normal schedule didn't allow for free time, even if there wasn't an entire country hinging on it. As a result, she was slightly cranky and desperate for conversation.

She chuckled, "I thought you meant the food. I have never before heard of that phrase, but what prompted you to raise that idea?"

She wanted to hear his reasoning before actually agreeing with him.

"I've been all over the cosmos. I've stomped through worlds of Prinnies, talking vegetables, and people who tried to fend me off with UFOs and fishing poles. And yet you can't find a weirder group than everyone assembled here. Never happened."

"What about this crew is so strange, Zetta?"

Talking vegetables and prinnies certainly struck her as being stranger. She didn't even know what a UFO was, but that didn't seem to much matter.

"Well, for one, there are a ton of adolescent girls. What's up with THAT?"

Even the Netherworlds, with gender equality, 100-to-1 age ratios compare to humanity, and power coming easily after the thousandth year or so, wasn't this nuts.

"I suppose the ratio is off, but can that not be explained by the idea that the ship takes those who can help fight the Ohm?"

"...doesn't it imply, if so many adolescent girls are taken to fight the Ohm, that there's a lot about the cosmos we don't understand?" Zetta seemed outright alarmed just thinking about that. What -- what kind of universe...?

"Did you know that there was more than one universe before coming to this ship?" She shook her head and sighed, "There have been so many things here that I have not before known that I have stopped being marvelled by such things."

"Oh yeah. That was one of Pram the Oracle's favorite sayings. 'There is, of course, more than one universe!'" Zetta said in a high falsetto. "Countless Netherworlds, countless worlds. I didn't know there was so much that could surprise me."

"Well, it seems there are even more than you may have imagined. I, on the other hand, was unaware of any universe outside of mine. I did not even know what the rest of the world was like, aside from a few stories from a very few skilled adventures who were able to survive the trip back."

She sighed, "Honestly, it makes me feel rather small and insignificant. And being here... almost makes me feel mortal."

Zetta looked at Nanashi in outright surprise.

"You didn't know what your own world was like?"

She shook her head, "Not past my continent. It was surrounded by rocks and horrible currents that lead you straight into the rocks. If you could get through that with no storms making things more difficult, then I assume getting back was near impossible, as we never had any ships return.

"The angels, however, are among the evidence that there are civilizations beyond. They came from elsewhere. Of course, there was also the dragons, who were powerful enough of course to get out, and we have stories, but no more than that."

"Oh, I get it," Zetta said, after he'd worked out what ought to be obvious to anyone. "There's no convenient transportation on your world. And I guess it doesn't pay for you to try to do it yourself. I forgot you were a vampire. Sun and all."

The more Zetta thought about it, the more this explained!
