In Which Zetta Trains
Some people had said he ought to train.
Some people seemed to need training.
Some people he wanted to teach.
And the Overlord felt like being productive.
So he'd grabbed a sensorium, shut the safeties off, set up shop, and sent out a call. And divided the sensorium into three distinct parts...

Re: Teamwork Exercise
This time, however, she was armed and armored and as ready as she'd ever be, her two-handed sword held in one hand, down at her side. Sort of in a guard position. Since it wasn't sheathed, she didn't want to actually hurt anyone with it.
"I am ready, then, I think. I hope." Truthfully she was a bit nervous, but May gave them both something of a smile.
Still open.
The room erupted into massive cacophony of noise and motion. The platform Zetta stood on abruptly lifted up and away, the walls defined themselves into a magnificently tall tower, and from those walls burst countless platforms, ladders, ropes, levers, traps, moving objects...
An obstacle course, manned by numerous weapon-wielding minions of the Overlord.
"I, the Overlord, am conducting some nefarious scheme!" Zetta called down to them. "You must reach me to stop it! Hyaaaa ha ha ha ha!"
Re: Still open.
She looked at the two. "Okay, Beastboy's pretty good with the running and ducking, but I don't know as much about you." she pointed to Maydril. "So...wanna help clear a path for Beastboy?"
She was open to another idea though. Team leader tyrant she was not.
Re: Still open.
He gave a wink to the new girl, "So, I turn into animals and the kick butt kid here is like a one girl army. What tricks do you have up your sleeve?"
Re: Still open.
Re: Still open.
Which it had been, really, for the past three years.
"It may not be the best for this sort of combat, but I will do what I can." In addition, she wasn't as sloppy at hand-to-hand as it might seem. And save for the lack of a helmet, the rest of her was fully armored.
Re: Still open.
And they were off, Beastboy forward with Hit Girl in hot pursuit.

Re: Still open.
But she didn't however, go into the field unarmed, and a minute later had the glocks in her hand, the enemies in her sighht, and fired off a few rounds.
"Go!" She said to Maydril, pausing to sweat as an arrow nicked her elbow. "I'll take the snipes out!"
Re: Still open.
She has no physical shield, as her sword is a two-hander, but she has enough skill with it to turn it flat out and deflect arrows that way. Beast Boy earns himself a shield of magic, though, as May pauses to spit out the invocation.
It may not save Beast Boy from being launched off the platform, but it might give him some resistance at least.
Re: Still open.
Stars swam in the monkey's vision as Beastboy shifted forms into a bird darting around the arrows till he realized he had a magical shield.
Landing behind the sandbags that had slammed him he shifted into gorilla form once more wrenching the device free with a roar.
Muscles rippled under fur as he flung the sandbags at the archers one after the other still thundering forward making the most of Maydril's shielding while he had it.
Re: Still open.
Re: Still open.
Ok, now she was pissed. Hurt, but pissed.
And the Chinese stars came out to find the third sniper: she hoped it ripped his damn head off, she was still feeling bad tingling all over her body. She lurched to her feet and struggled to keep up with them.
Walk it off, she said to herself. They're waiting for you to quit. Fuck that. You're better than that.
Re: Still open.
Unfortunately, she wasn't aware of how volatile Prinnies really were.
The half-drow set up another shield--curved outward this time, as if she were trying to catch the prinny. That, alas, failed, when it impacted, and promptly exploded. Oh, they were all on the correct side this time, but it still rocked the armored girl as if she'd been clocked upside the head.
That was what it had felt like.
Maydril shook her head to clear it, and directed her healing energy towards Hit Girl. "My apologies," she said. "I thought they would pay attention to the larger target!"

Re: Still open.
"Maydril, the that penguin guy!"
Sorry, I think Gmail hates me. :(
Maydril wasn't entirely certain that the arrows would do no harm, but it was a chance she was going to have to take. This particular shield invocation was a bit more complex, blending as it did resistance to both fire and force.
She cast it around the Prinny itself.
No worries :D
Moved this one down for chronology!
They'd earned the first platform. Even the longest journey begins with a single step, right?
Re: Moved this one down for chronology!
"Can you cast a shield for us here, just until we know what we're dealing with?" Hit Girl asked Maydril.
