Of Wizards and Other Divine Things
Title: Of Wizards and Other Divine Things
Location: Stacy; Engineering
It had taken him not too long to realise that an interdimensional wizard had made his way into Renne's expansive panthaeon of Deities. Whether he was a Deity or not had become irrelevant, much like Imhotep being deified in Egypt's Old Kingdom. And it was to this wizard Renne prayed, worshipped as he worked. He'd come to love this place, this strange building with its secret song but it had become a love that set this place apart as sacred, holy.
"You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be."
Constant softly-spoken prayer and song are his mantra as his hands work steadily on this strange device. It's a golden thing with a single, broad blue stripe, taken after a Pharaoh's death mask, except this is nothing to do with death and it isn't a mask. At the converging center point of this vaguely triangular piece, a silver diamond sits emblazoned with two unicorn's heads with their horns crossed.
He smiles upon checking his work. The easy part is completed now, with the faint blue tinge set on the unicorns' heads. The hard part is what comes next and his fingers carefully touch a place between the unicorns' heads. And he crosses his proverbial fingers.

You raise me up...

Of course, he's not entirely surprised to hear that a certain someone else is already there. Is Renne too busy for visitors?
Billy decides to sit just around the corner, leaning against the familiar building. Here, he listens and waits for Renne's reaction.

Like a hopeful offering or a gift with its maker praying this gift isn't somehow impure. Or something that could desecrate this place, its people, its song. Its very concept. Thus, he slowly lifts the vaguely triangular thing skyward. It has a bit of weight on it but it's not unwieldy. The shape merely determined that it falls across one's shoulders if it ever gets put on.

Whatever it is, it seems that Renne's ready for him. Eager to discover what's going on, the human steps away from the wall and closer to his brother's craft.
"What's going on?"
no subject
Oh, my. See that blush on his face? That's him being bashful and just a touch hesitant as he replies. The thing in his hands? It seems as if he's holding it now slightly lower to the floor. Which honestly, considering the thing easily equals about one sixth of his bodyweight? Yeah, Renne's no super-strong thing.
"Is fohrrr Bee."
no subject
Noticing Renne's struggle, he walks over to help Renne set it down. "Here, let me help with that. It's...wow, you're great at this. I'm sure the crew would be impressed if they knew!"
Other, more personal feelings were bubbling up within him at the sight of it, but those would come in time.
no subject
Ah, that's much better. Still quite ablush, his voice drops down to nearly a whisper and when his words halt, the imp dips his head down a little. He'd been many things all at once since the idea had come to him -- nervous, excited, determined, even a little unsure.
no subject
Honestly, Billy wasn't sure how he would feel. It was beautiful and would serve him well, he was sure, but he'd never had that weight on his shoulders during a battle before. He'd have to get used to it, and that was something he fully intended to do.
"Should I try it on?"
no subject
There's a long moment of hesitation there. Something in him whispers that he might've crossed some unseen line and the pious thing that he is, there's even a flash of fear, as if Zordon himself might strike him down with lightning. Or something to that effect.
Thus, he drops into a bow he hasn't done in ages. A bow performed only by the lowest of the slave-classes.

Renne's taking it the wrong way---no, of course he wants it! He'd have to be an incredibly cruel and short-sighted person to refuse such a thoughtful and amazing gift. Those thoughts leak out, and they're shoved in Renne's direction just a little.
"I would be foolish to refuse it," Billy says decisively. "You don't need to bow like that---you haven't offended me in the slightest. I was just starting to feel nostalgic."
To prove his point, he extends his fingers to touch the shield again---and when he does, his Power Coin seems to light up of its own accord.
no subject
The god-fearing reverence in his voice isn't hard to miss. He knows he's quite ignorant on many, many levels regarding that part of Billy Cranston. That part that's touched by an ancient sage, Renne indeed sees as something holy, something godlike. And who is he to touch it?
no subject
Billy's committed to reassuring his brother and making sure he understands, but the human's just...engulfed in a column of white light that makes it rather difficult to talk.
When the light fades, the person kneeling in front of Renne is fully encased in his blue and white armor with an added flair. Yes, that's the shield gleaming magnificently on his shoulders.
"Wow...Renne, you really know how to make a shield." Just like that, the thing had morphed him and integrated into his standard uniform.
no subject
Cautiously rising up from that crouching bow, the oddity's ears give a puzzled twitch. For a second, there's a flash of terror that he might have somehow caused something to go wrong.
Renne misses the light itself but he...feels it, hears it in an odd synesthetic way. Ultimately, he's not quite sure what it means.
"B-Bee?"
no subject
He smiles under the mask, guiding Renne's paw to the silver diamond of the shield. "Morphing felt slightly different this time. It's hard to explain precisely what the change was, but it felt like you."

Now, however...well, the oddity quietly wakes up with an insidious little plot in his mind. It begins fairly simple enough, with quiet sneaking. Sneaking from his nest to the foot of Billy's bed.
Sneaking. Sniffing.
And should he find a bare foot, tickling of said foot.
no subject
Grinning to himself, Billy slowly starts to stir. There's still things to do today, such as---
---haha---
---the tickling. He twitches, a small laugh escaping him. "Already?"
no subject
'Boo' indeed. Impish little grin on his face, Renne "attacks" a pair of human feet and toes with a flurry of tickles and sniffs.
no subject
Billy's not angry at all. On the contrary, he's feeling pretty alert. And thoroughly tickled. In this position, he's largely reduced to helpless laughter, but he does wiggle his toes defiantly once or twice.
no subject
He sniff-tickles those wiggling toes. And then the oddity crawls on up to Bee's shoulders with an extremely impish little look on his face.
"Rrrraowrrr."

"Eeeeeeee!"
no subject
"Haha! Having fun?"
no subject
Of course, even sprawled on his back and squeaking with laughter, he's trying to retaliate with the tickling.
no subject
He tries to keep a relative hold on Renne, but the imp is rather sneaky and slippery.
no subject
He's giggling still but when Billy lets go, the imp crawls back up to try and be nose-to-nose with the Human.
Sniff. Lick.
"Hee."
no subject
It's a silly question, and he can't quite keep a straight face throughout.
