Out of the Toy Box (open)
"It was a dark night. Filled with...darkness!"
And, so it was, deep and menacing twilight perched outside the narrow dungeon window, like a vulture, waiting to strike. It was damp, moldy with disuse. Heavy-jawed moblins patrolled the halls, deadly spears held ready to attack any intruder- or escapee that thought to escape their grasp!
"All hope had been lost- but not for Cowboyman!"
Because, of course, neither the evil Ganon, or his evil minions were counting on Cowboyman's ingenuity! Already, he'd wriggled out of his bindings, climbed to the upper stories and was even now sneaking through the impregnable fortress towards the fiend's very headquarters!
Cowboyman bravely pushed open the door, crept into the highest room in that sinister tower...
"Alright, you varmint, come out and face justice" Komali declared, mimicking the deep voice a no-doubt heroic Cowboyman would have used.
But the only answer was a long creak as the door screeeched shut. Ganon was behind him!

"It's over, Ganon!"

Then he drew his terrible twin sabers and struck!
"Look out!" Komali cried, despite himself.

"Take that! And that!"
Still, for all he fought back, with every slash, Cowboyman was driven into a corner.

"You're finished, Cowboyman," he declared, and lifted his sword for the final blow-!
But, of course, he could never have known about the the secret of brave Cowboyman's weapon, that the Rito had given him- the magic sword!

"Behold! The Magic Sword of the Ages! It repels evil! And that is what you are!"

Ganon's dark visage blurred away into light, and when the glare faded, he was gone. For a moment, all seemed at peace, silent, and over-bright in the wake of Cowboyman's glorious victory, until...
The rumbling started low and far away, more felt than heard, and escalated until it was a roaring tumult that shook the floor. Ganon's fortress was crumbling!

Cowboyman jumped on on a windowsill, and with his pullstring, lassoed a stony outcropping on the outside of the fortress.
"Here goes nothing!" Woody cried, swinging down, with a: "YEEEEEEHAAAAAAW!"

ka-thunk!
Sturdy leather boots hit salt-hardened wood. The renegade pirates, led by their crafty female captain- no one else but Cowboyman could have made such a leap! The Fortress finished crumbling, leaving behind nothing but a craggy dome of rubble, and the carrion screeches of the native Kargaroc (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100125231945/zelda/images/8/86/Kargaroc_Artwork_%28The_Wind_Waker%29.png).
"Hooraaaaaaay, wooo!" Komali waved Woody in the air excitedly, forgetting for a moment his narrative, "The Cowboy hero saves the day again!"

The words and sounds reach a pair of ears, very large ears. With Archie and Billy plushies tucked under one arm, the bluething alternates between crawling and walking (still somewhat clumsily) upright. He's sticking close to the wall for more than one very logical reason but mobility isn't entirely his concern.
Curiosity is, namely, curiosity at the voice...Voices?
Logically, to have curiosity answered, one seeks out the source. So quietly, the creature follows the sound until he thinks he's near enough. And he listens.
