Just Say Ow
Geoffrey was wandering, naked. Again. After losing everything to that new game of 'poker,' he'd been in the media library (again) trying to catch up with at least Javert when it came to all this strange, futuristic stuff. The result of those hours spent, unfortunately, was confusion, a pounding headache, and stars before his eyes.
He'd sort of wandered down toward the medical area, because the pain was truly ridiculous, but he didn't really think they'd have anything overly helpful. Books, real books, with proper spelling and a non-glowing surface to read from, those were the things he truly needed.
"Damn my eyes," he muttered - not entirely without humor - as he paused to rub at them. "Damn them to a hell worse than this, just as soon as I'm done using them."

"At least until I find another blanket."

She glanced around, "I haven't come across any blankets here, and they're probably like the suits."

"And I have been given wardrobes, m'lady, by people in the past. And grateful as I am to them for their cast-offs, generosity, and distinct lack of mutual questioning, I never needed from them a house. One of those I have, a home, a warm one, full of all the important things; joy, love, laughter, understanding, and really excellent food."

Kate added, "Sorry about your home then. You want some help on the blanket hunt?"
no subject
He shook his head at her offer of help. "Don't trouble yourself, I know where a stash is. I'm just not overly rushed."

She then started to look around, "And it's not any trouble. I'm used to trouble."

Scratching at his nose thoughtfully, he told her, "Though I'm certain that you are, in fact, quite formidably trained and well-prepared for danger, I think that a scurry around the so-called 'locker room' is well within my humble means, m'lady."
In other words, no thanks.

"Fine, but I'd cover what little you got soon before you lose it completely." Another glance downward indicating what was meant.

He considered this his charitable act for the day, and so, nodding pleasantly to the young noble, he bid her good day.
