Just Say Ow
Geoffrey was wandering, naked. Again. After losing everything to that new game of 'poker,' he'd been in the media library (again) trying to catch up with at least Javert when it came to all this strange, futuristic stuff. The result of those hours spent, unfortunately, was confusion, a pounding headache, and stars before his eyes.
He'd sort of wandered down toward the medical area, because the pain was truly ridiculous, but he didn't really think they'd have anything overly helpful. Books, real books, with proper spelling and a non-glowing surface to read from, those were the things he truly needed.
"Damn my eyes," he muttered - not entirely without humor - as he paused to rub at them. "Damn them to a hell worse than this, just as soon as I'm done using them."

She's wearing a length of red silk wrapped around her halfway between a sari and a toga—it may well have been a window drape or something in the first place. No plant-suit, though it repeatedly hints at revealing a bit more than needed to remain modest.

Still, she might be a demon, unlike some others. He takes a few steps back, just to be safe.

Well, it is pretty obvious what he doesn't have on.

Or some strange, strange person who has very unique skin problems.

"Mmm... I hope I can actually get some real clothing sometime. Even my uniform would be better..."

I mean it's *right* there in plain sight. Kind of hard not to.

"You alright?"

"I think I've been reading too long. My eyes, well, they could be better, I suppose, and those odd boards they have the writing on don't precisely help, with all that luminescence."

Nothing he's read yet has explained what glasses are, so Dean's getting a

With an exasperated sigh, Dean explains. "They're what they sound like. Two flat glass lenses that you put in front of your eyes so you can see. That was you don't get headaches."

But to be able to see would by wonderful; he could compose poems to the ability to read his own writing without headaches.

She hadn't gotten very far when she ran into a naked man rubbing his eyes.
Rubbing eyes was way better than rubbing other things. She stopped, and made sure she was focusing her attention on his upper half. "Um... Are you alright?" Yeah, can we say awkward?

Geoff looked up at the woman and smiled, completely comfortable in his own skin. He recognized her, vaguely, as one of the crew members who were slightly newer than he was, but that was about all. The med bay had been a bit weird for him, so he hadn't stuck around it very long after the fighting.

She was silent for a moment before finally bursting out with, "Might I ask why you're naked?"
no subject
Then he paused and looked down at himself. Why was he naked? An excellent question, and one he had no intention of answering truthfully.
Well, at least not with the whole truth, at any rate.
"As for my state of undress, I apologize if it gives you offense, but at present, any method of clothing myself seems to be beyond my means."

Her gaze momentarily followed his, and immediately shot right back up, her cheeks instantly turning several different shades of red.
"Oh, well... I wouldn't say distressed, more... Seeing a naked man wandering around isn't something I'm use to seeing everyday...." She paused her brows arching in question. "Didn't you get one of these lovely suits like everyone?"

Looking up just quickly enough to catch where the good doctor was looking, Geoff looked left, then up, before back to her. He was torn between amusement and awkwardness; his nudity seemed to be causing plenty of problems, but he couldn't really understand why everyone insisting on noticing. With a sigh, he explained, "I chose to forgo the suit, as it seems hardly more than a second skin, and a vulgar one at that." He meant the pulsing. "I would rather be clothed properly, or wear naught at all."
