[Open to Members of Security]

Fate really, really wanted to just head straight back to her room, take a long shower, then huddle up in a corner somewhere. She felt incredibly unclean, and she was starting to feel a bit tired, but that was pushed aside for now. There were more important things to do now. They had to bring justice to a girl who tried to use another person for a horrible purpose... a purpose that still made Fate's stomach turn.

So anyone inside the Precinct will notice three people entering: the first was Fate, clad in her Barrier Jacket with a cut and singed cheek, Kon, who also sported a few burned cuts on his arms, and Mei-Xing, whose hands were bound behind her with yellow energy.

Yep. We've got a bit of a Situation, guys.

"I'm not apologizing, 'cause what she was doing was evil," said Kon, gesturing to Mei-Xing.

"It's legal." Is her only response. "I paid for it."

Samus watched the security footage on her omnicomm. Samus was far from a moral compass, but she did have to agree that there should have been some sort of investigation just because a human being in a tube should probably be checked out, regardless of whether or not Mei-Xing considered her or it or whatever "property."

"You should have reported it," were the first words out of her mouth.

"You wanna punish us for it, go for it. And keep in mind, I was the most aggressive one--Fate was at least trying to handle it well," said Kon. "But what she said. We need to see if she can wake up, and if not--it's still not right for someone to use a person as an organ bag, even if they're brain damaged, whether they paid money for it or not. It might be legal in her world, but using people as sacks of organs shouldn't be legal here."

"Maybe you should've let her handle the situation, then." Mei-Xing somehow manages to keep the sneer out of her tone. "You're letting the morals in your world dictate whether or not you get to threaten me because mine are different. That's three different kinds of slagged."

The cutest part about this argument was that everyone but Samus had been having it with their back to an unlocked door. Getting into the room without being noticed by anyone else wasn't difficult- really she was only doing it for dramatic effect.

The way people reacted when they didn't realize they were being watched was always more interesting.

"If you can't see why they're pissed, then you deserve whatever you get," She interrupted, finally, arms folded as she stood just inside and to one side of the doorway. She gave all of them a measured glare. Just here to keep the peace, children.

Or something like that.

"As for what's in the tank, it has no higher brain-function," Her disdain for a lack of thoroughness was completely nonpartisan, "You'll have to take it up with medical to confirm, but on the off-chance it's even capable of consciousness, the term at hand is 'brain-death,' if you'd bothered to pay attention."

"Then we will leave that to medical," Samus wasn't going to make that call. All she had to do was enforce the rules they did have an leave any sort of legal interpretation about clones or people or property to the council.

"The three of you will be punished accordingly. Get this straight, though, it's for causing a disturbance in the city. I'm not in a place to make any other rulings."

She didn't entirely blame Kon, though. Take away fourteen years of experience, and she probably would have done the same thing. She was turning into her commanding officer, but every teen on the ship was turning into her. This was karma.
