After The Fall [Open]

Things just keep getting worse and worse...

The bomb situation was over. They won. They're alive. In a sense - if the reports are true, then they've lost a number of people. And again, there was nothing Irma could do. She felt helpless at this point - no Guardians, no real powers, nothing. For once in her life, Irma started wishing that she was a normal person again. At least that way she could have more options as to what to do.

She didn't want to hide in the W.I.T.C.H. Bus and didn't to hang around the school or the citadel. Instead, she decided to wander, hoping to find someone, ANYONE, to talk to, to get her mind off of what was going on.

It took a moment for Sylia to answer, as she was staring blankly at the hole she'd just punched clear through the wall.

"I suppose you could say that," she answered somewhat coldly.

After another few seconds, she slid her visor back so the girl could see her face, and her voice sounded much more gentle. "I'm sorry. I hate talking through this thing."

Sylia was quiet for yet another long moment, and then her face softened almost instantly. The hardsuit clanked mechanically against the floor as she took a few steps towards the younger girl.

"I know exactly how you feel," she said. "It feels like the world is waiting at your fingertips, waiting for you to make a difference-- but when the chips fall, you're helpless to stop them.

"I hardly think we're alone in these feelings, dear," Sylia assured her, sadly gazing back at the hole in the wall. "And I'm not sure I know myself..."

Her fist clenched. "But whatever it takes, I won't be caught so helpless again. I'm going to see to that."

"The same way I saw to it back home." She lifted up the arm of her hardsuit and tightened her fist.

But then she smiled. "I'm sorry, I've been very rude not to introduce myself. My name is Sylia. And you?"

"It's nice to meet you, Irma."

Sylia smiled a little sadly and touched the arm of her suit. "I used to," she said. "I've mostly retired by now, but I still serve a support role for the other girls. We called ourselves the Knight Sabers... though the police called us vigilantes and terrorists."

She laughed a bit. "Though we are nothing of the sort. We protect the people, and run intelligence alongside the law. I was considering starting a branch aboard the ship here... since it seems the current system needs a little assistance to work right."

Sylia reached up and pulled off her helmet, letting her ponytail fall out and around her shoulders. "Really, now?" she asked a bit teasingly. "Well, I frankly didn't expect to get a volunteer so early on... I'd need to find someone to build a hardsuit for you."

"Not to mention," she added with a mischievous smile, "You'd have to be trained. It takes a special, particularly bold sort of woman to be called a Knight Saber. I can't just give out the title lightly."

She seemed to be studying Irma carefully, finally stepping up close and placing one of her gloved hands to the side of her face.

"Excellent," she said. "If that's the way you feel, then I suppose I could give you a trial run... perhaps you could meet me somewhere to get started on training?"

Honestly, Sylia had still been considering the idea in the midst of her fit of rage... but if there was a young woman with the proper attitude who wanted to try, she was loathe to let the opportunity slip away. And it was a trial run, after all... if Irma was unable to wear the suit, it wouldn't be too late to call things off.

"I don't know," she admitted. "I'm not especially fond of the sensoriums... but given the fact that I really can't test you out until we find someone to make a suit, it will have to do."
