Bored and Trigger-happy [Open]
Elle stumbled upon the statuary by accident, but it was distracting and amusing enough that she promptly abandoned her search for that weird clock room and decided to explore it instead.
She deduced that it was half-cool, half-weird. She recognized several from history textbooks (very neat, though she was never particularly studious), and others that looked like they were from comic books, video games, or something else similiarly geeky (also neat, but also reminded her of movie sets again). Despite the fact that flicking the switches on the large statue bases didn't appear the actually DO anything, she continued attempting to make something happen.
Maybe it's just broken, she wondered, repeatedly flipping the switch for a statue of the Venus De Milo. How irritating. It would've been way cool if it was animatronic or something and moved, she glumly noted.
A little too tempted by the idea, Elle covered the switch with her palm, blue electricity shimmering over the surface of her skin. I'll just... Give it a jumpstart!
There was a crackle- a loud zap!
And...
Nothing.
She rolled her eyes, letting her hand drop back to her side. Why did that never seem to work?

"What the hell?" He wondered as he stepped in to see what was going on.
Oh, there's a blonde in the room. He couldn't see her face yet as he stepped closer.
"You lost?"
Sorry that took too long!
She was pretty sure anyone even vaguely affiliated with the original Company wouldn't be very happy with her for turning herself in to Arthur Petrelli, teaming up with Sylar, and then trying to attack Noah Bennet and the cheerleader. However, as far as she knew, Senator Petrelli didn't seem involved in any of that. Maybe he didn't even know who she was.
Oh well. Even if he did, she was pretty sure she could take 'im.
Elle gave him a false, cheery smile. "Oh! I was just... Trying to see if this did anything." She laughed slightly, stepping back. "Apparently not."
NP, slowtime's love
He stepped closer to the statues, "They've never worked. Always figured they were likely broken."

She frowned, disappointed. "That's no fun..."

Okay, that was unexpected. "They keep people here for that long?!" Damn. Even though she didn't really have a home anymore, it was still unnerving as hell to think she might not be going back.

He then gave a politician grin and extended his hand, "Didn't catch the name."

Besides, he was kinda cute.
So, she just smiled back and shook his hand. "Elle." And, because she couldn't resist if her life depended on it, gave him a tiny shock - not enough to actually hurt (much, anyway), but certainly startling.

"I'm Nathan," he just said.

"Anybody show you around yet?"

"You probably have a good idea where everything is, right Nathan?"
no subject
"You coming?"
no subject
"Attacks...?" She raised an eyebrow, skeptical.

Nathan grimaced as they walked past the Vatican building.
"Makes my world almost seem normal," he added in a growling mutter.

She grimaced. How disgusting. "What are brain slugs doing here?"
no subject
He added, "Only difference was that they took over half the crew, and were trying to take over the ship. Tried killing the rest of us, but they were rounded up. Heard the slugs are all dead now."
