Then there were two [Fletcher, come pick up your dog, open to others]
In the days after shore leave, Daimon had his hands full. He had managed to find new owners for all of the puppies he had saved, all but two. The green urchin that always followed him around, even if he did not want it too, and another puppy. The second one, at least, did not climb all over him.
It was walk time and he strolled through hydroponics, keeping a close eye on them and hoping they would relieve themselves here instead of on the floor of St Peter's Basilicathis time.

As he walked about, looking around at all of the lovely plants, he noticed a man with a pair of... small animals. Puppies? A weird green one, and a more normal-looking one. "Ah, hello!"

The weird green looking puppy started barking- or rather making an odd noise that sounded like someone muffling their laughter. Its tail wasn't wagging so much as mimicking the blades of a helicopter, moving so fast it looked like it was spinning. Daimon immediately bent down to pick it up before it either ran off or attacked Fletcher with kisses, not because he liked it or anything.
Yeah, right."Perhaps a young
childman such as yourself would be interested in caring for a puppy?" Why not? He had to get rid of them and he seemed to be old enough to take on the responsibility. Also, he was getting desperate.no subject
The brown one stepped closer to Fletcher, seemingly wary. He looked down at it, and squatted and held out a hand, which it accepted and started to lick.

Seriously, it's not every day you randomly meet a guy who gives you a puppy.
