It had happened so suddenly. Sasami's joyous return from being GLaDOSed was slightly hampered by a combination of both a sudden emptiness and loss and worrying over the elections. Part of her worried that, even after all she did, she wasn't going to get in. They'd never let her get in, no matter how much she tried.

Attempting to get her mind off of everything, Sasami wandered into the sensoriums, wishing for something simple. She remembered all the times Mihoshi and Kiyone had opted for karaoke night (mostly because Mihoshi dragged Kiyone into it) and there had been a few times they all got into it. Singing felt pretty good right about now.

It seemed that the room read her mind as it changed into a stage of sorts, a karaoke machine waiting for her. At the moment, though, there wasn't anyone around - she was probably just hoping that she could sing by herself and hope that no one else came.

Approaching the stage, Sasami approached the machine and began flipping through some of the songs. One of them caught her eye, especially after reading the lyrics in curiosity. Letting the song start up, Sasami waited for the lyrics to appear...

...And she started to sing...

As the song came to an end, she let out a relaxed sigh... then gasped to realize she had company!

As Nanoha finished her song, her cheeks were slightly red - both from the performance and, well... from that look on Fate's face. She reached up to scratch at the back of her neck. "A-ah, thanks, Fate-chan. It really wasn't bad?"

"Of course it wasn't!" Fate said. "I wouldn't lie to you about that, would I?"

There's no way that expression could be anything but honest, right?

"Mm, probably not," Nanoha said with a smile, her cheeks still slightly flushed... and then shook her head and held the microphone out to the blonde girl. "Your turn!"

"O-Okay..." Already blushing, Fate took the microphone from Nanoha and scrolled through the songs. She had seen one when her friend had been searching, so she just had to find it again...

Aha, here. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RiuWYkfiwU) Fate took a deep breath, hit play, and almost immediately, the song started.

Nanoha listened to the song happily, resting her chin in her hands as she watched the blonde girl sing. Fate really did have a strikingly lovely voice - she could listen to this all night.

She couldn't remember where she'd heard the song, but it was... very familiar. Nostalgic, in a way. And she just kept watching Fate sing, applauding with a smile when she finished.

"I... I guess you liked it?" Fate said as she set down the microphone once the song ended, face even more red than before. She knew Nanoha loved to hear her sing; it was the main reason she and the others would always bully her into singing whenever they did this. But it was still a bit embarrassing to see the other girl react the same way after all these years.

"Of course I did, silly." Nanoha beamed at Fate, holding her hands out to take Fate's as the blonde drew near. "I always like hearing you sing! You should really do it more..."

"Well..." Fate took Nanoha's hands, gaze drifting to the floor as she thought it over. She was too shy to sing in front of a group without enough prodding, but...

"If it's in private... I guess I can try doing it more."

Nanoha's face lit up as she squeezed the other girl's hands. "Oh, that'd be great! Do you promise?"
