Elections

The time had finally come.

The Constitution had been ratified, and campaigns had been run, and now it was time for elections to finally take place on the ship.

The Obs Deck had been set up as an impromptu voting area, relying on simple paper ballots since no one could be sure that Stacy wouldn't try to interfere if they had used a digital medium. As many hand-made voting booths as could be made for the occasion stood in the Obs Deck, waiting for everyone to come and cast their votes.

Everyone milled about Obs, either waiting or making their way from having just done so. Regardless, the air in the room was somewhat tense as everyone waited until the final vote was cast and the ship's new leadership was chosen.

[ooc: This post is just for people to get together  and talk before/after voting. To actually cast your characters' votes, go here!]

"I think that people will vote based on what's right, though," she said, sounding sure of herself. Because she was. Whether or not she was the right person for the job, people would surely know better than to vote based on popularity.

"Can only hope so. I've been in races like this before. A lot of times it comes down to money and popularity, and with the limit on currency still around here... well."

Nathan sighed, "You should have seen how it was around here in the earlier months. So much bickering and infighting at times. Cooler heads have prevailed mostly, but then we thought we still had a home to get back to. And the Ohm was mostly a matter of rumors."
