[Open] [Location: The City]

Beastboy was not the most goal oriented individual.

After weeks and weeks on the ship (Almost spending a solid week messing around with the sensoriums and the time he'd lost chasing after fictional cake, he had only now gotten around to exploring the city.

And so he was making an expedition of it. Any area that caught his attention would be seen to (even if the area didn't look particularly friendly) as his various animal forms helped him run, bounce, crawl and soar around.

Another fine excuse to meet people or hang out with those he'd already met...maybe they could tell him about some of the places he was seeing for the first time.

Rei was out in the city today, because he wasn't really sure where to go with his new dog. Would people mind if he took it in the library? Probably, since it seemed to have the stamina of the Energizer Bunny, and seemed to quite like bouncing all over everything. What about the Obs Deck? People tended to go there for some quiet time, they probably wouldn't appreciate it's bouncing around. He'd thought about Hydroponics, but he wasn't sure what the dog ate, and didn't want it eating everything in there. Dogs did that, right? Ate everything in sight? Or was that Gremlins?

He'd figured the city would probably be the best place for now, and fortunately, the little puff ball of a dog (http://nummynims.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/cj7.jpg) was slightly calm now. Calm enough to just run around in one spot around a bench while Rei sat and watched it. He wasn't even sure what commands to give it, or how to train it. He just sat there, lost in confusion, not really noticing if anyone else was around.

Rei looked up and noticed the green dog. It looked quite a bit more Earthly then the other puppies had, but it was still green. And something about a green dog just screamed 'alien' in his nerd-brain.

"Um, hi, boy," he said, hoping the dog was male. "What are you doing here? I thought that Daimon guy was keeping all the puppies until they got owners."

"GAH!" Rei shouted (more of a squeal, really), jumping in his seat slightly. A green dog that turned into a green teenager. That was new. Well, the green teenager, not so much, he'd seen metahumans and some aliens of rather odd colors, but the shape shifting was still new, and caught him off-guard.

When Rei's brain began working again after the initial surprise, he cleared his throat, and, trying to be dignified, said, "Daimon is... um. I'm not all that sure, really. I've only spoken to him a few times. Kinda big guy, blonde, kind of intimidating? Currently running around with space puppies."

The space-dog sniffed Beastboy's hand, then happily licked it. It didn't have a tail, but the little antenna on the top of its head moved up and down, almost like a wagging tail.

Rei was relieved that the little green guy hadn't said anything about his mini-freak out. His dignity was still a bit tarnished, but if the shape shifter wasn't going to make a big deal out of it, he wasn't, either.

"It's a she," Rei said - he mostly brought it up because he'd actually had to look up how to tell the sex of a dog, which was both informative and a bit awkward. "And yeah, she's a space dog. I think. Probably not related to a dog at all, but I don't know what exact she is, so that's as good a phrase as any."

Laurie is out taking a a href="http://pics.livejournal.com/terribly2shy/pic/00001rcg">particularly energetic puppy for a walk through the streets. He's pulling at his leash and forcing Laurie to keep up with him, yipping and barking gleefully along the way. And Laurie is not too out of breath that she can't keep up...

...she's just wishing she'd worn the shoes she'd bough instead of the flip-flops.

"Whoa!" Spot gives another hard tug on the leash.

Laurie smiles when she sees the green horse. She now associates green creatures with Beastboy, seeing as he'd been that green flying squirrel creature when she first met him in person.

Spot starts yipping excitedly when Beastboy changes back to human form. Who is this strange person who smells like animal? Now human? Oh what fun things! He stops pulling on his leash and leaps up to lick Beastboy's chin when Beastboy stoops down.

Spot likes meeting new people.

"His name is Spot. See. He has these green spots along his lower half." She points them out.

"He sounds cute," Laurie says, trying to imagine the creature. Now, she could handle bugs. They didn't bother her much. Mean, rude people, anit-mutant protesters, huge math exams, and talking in front of a huge crowd of people...now those bugged her.

"What games could he play?"

Nanashi was running across some roofs committing to memory the layout of the city when she saw a green animal wandering below her.

Skidding to a stop and taking off a few shingles Nanashi hopped back over in the direction she saw that unnatural green she recognised.

"Beastboy?"

[identity profile] sanguineroyal.livejournal.com 2010-07-15 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Nananshi laughed, entertained by the green creature. "I thought that was you, Beastboy."

[identity profile] sanguineroyal.livejournal.com 2010-07-15 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Nanashi laughed lightly, "I believe might go better if I was not a Vampire, however that is not something I am able to change. Still, I shall try my hardest in this election, if only it will mean that I am more recognised in the next."

Taking a seat next to Beastboy she asked, "And you, I have not seen you little one. How have you been?"

In one of the less well-traveled parts of the city was a traditional Shinto shrine. While she wasn't on very good terms with its real owner, Satori had started unconsciously gravitating towards it as the closest thing Stacy had to offer to a familiar place.

So this particular evening found her sitting cross-legged on the roof of the shrine, looking thoughtfully over the patchwork landscape and thinking about how nice it would be to be able to have decent tea anywhere outside of the sensorium. The moment Beastboy came near the shrine, Satori looked up with mild curiosity, her Third Eye adjusting its position to follow him as he moved.

If he didn't notice her, that probably ended when she got up, leaving the roof and slowly floating down to a few feet away from Beastboy's position. She looked down at the squirrelesque creature, not fooled by appearances.

"That's an unusual ability you have there."

Satori sat down cross-legged in front of the little creature, smiling as she started to poke around at his surface thoughts. "And would 'Beastboy' be your first name?"
