If there was anyway of telling that someone was having a very bad week, it was easy to see it with Sasami. Coming off from her injuries after the battle with the Ohm, she ended up snapping and attacking Evangeline over a massive misunderstanding concerning Negi. Then, when it came to the elections, she tossed her metaphorical hat into the metaphorical ring and it completely backfired on her: meeting one of her opponents, he'd tried to convince her to step down and reading some of the messages on the omnicomms, it seemed like her opponents were trying to tell her to back off as well.

You're too young. You're biting off more than you can chew. Why don't you shadow...?

"Why aren't they giving me a chance?" Sasami muttered to herself. "Why won't they? Is it because I'm a kid? O-Or..." she shook her head as she wandered aimlessly into the Media Library. She half-heartedly waved off a working Vivio as she took a seat and curled herself into a ball.

"...m-maybe I should give up..." Sasami muttered, trying not to cry. As she did, Vivio just stared at the poor girl, both mage and Device uncertain on how to cheer her up.

Normally, Kang wouldn't have spared more than a curious glance at the young girl curled up in the chair. She was clearly upset, and he wasn't all that comfortable with dealing with children of other races.

But, this particular girl he recognized from his omnicomm, running for Council. What was her name again? Sasami? It couldn't hurt to talk to the girl, since she was running for the same position that he was.

He hesitated for a moment, then approached her, careful to try and keep from looking too intimidating, "...are you alright?"

Sasami looked up... and let out a surprising yelp as she saw Kang before her. She let her surprise fade, though, as she realized that she was being asked if she was okay.

"...I don't know if I am... I ended up attacking someone because I thought they were hurting a friend of mine when they were helping him. And... I keep having second thoughts about the elections... when one says they're doing the same thing I am and another says I should back off a bit, I..."

Kang's good wing rustled slightly; he'd expected that reaction, so he wasn't offended.

He knelt down so that he was at eye level with Sasami, resting most of his weight on his tail. He wasn't quite sure how he was supposed to handle this situation, but he figured treating her more like an adult wouldn't hurt, "Sounds like you're having a tough day."

One thing at a time, though. "This person you attacked, and your friend, how did they react?"

"My friend was... well, a little surprised. The other person barely flinched." Sasami admitted. "I think the only thing that may have helped me was that there were others there with me trying to calm everything down."

"I... I had totally forgot that he had asked for her help and I attacked because of the way she was handling everything. That... and she was pretty much baiting me..."

Now that she had some time to think, she was starting to realize that maybe Eva was trying to bait her in the end.

"Why do you think she was baiting you?" Kang asked, curious.

"It was the way she talked." Sasami said. "She was insisting that my friend deserved the pain he was going through even when I told her to stop..."

Interesting. Kang cocked his head to one side slightly, "Do you think your friend is upset with you? After all, you were concerned for his wellbeing."
