Questing [Open] (Specify where they're finding him)
If there could be a little line following where Hiccup was going through the ship, it'd show that the young man couldn't stand still. Several things were on his mind.
1) Finding Astrid.
2) Finding some mead or ale to thank Kang.
3) Finding the other two that had helped save him, other than Astrid and Kang.
4) Finding Ed to learn about science.
5) Finding this "Engineering" place that was clearly the kind of place that would be wonder and a joy for him to be in.
The search was afoot. He had people, places, and booze to find.
And thus Hiccup hobbled through the halls with a set of crutches (he really shouldn't be putting much weight on his injured leg yet), on his mighty Viking quest.

The Lounge
"Hello, good barman, could I have a bottle of your finest ale, please?"
He wasn't even trying to do that thing where he pretended his voice was deeper.

Heheh

He keeps them in a box under his bed.

Engineering
And the parts! so many pre-made components! Bits of stuff! He didn't have to forge things, there were little screws and widgets and ball bearings already made. It was glorious.
Anyone that came into Engineering would find Hiccup on the floor, crutches propped up against a desk, going through crates and containers of components, just trying to figure out everything they did.
Re: Engineering
Really, he was here to do the same thing as Hiccup, but he would never admit it.
A few minutes passed before he got a good look at the boy and almost dropped what he was holding.
"What," he said, staring at Hiccup's...primitive prosthetic, "is that supposed to be?"
no subject
Hiccup, ever oblivious hadn't even noticed anyone was in the room. He'd confused the kkoooosh-shhhhh, koooosh-sshhh, as the sound of one of the running machines. Now that he realized it was coming from a person, he was slightly unnerved.
"What? What?"
He peered at Vader like he'd never seen a crazy person in black wearing a skull(ish?) mask before. (He hadn't).
He was looking around, trying to figure out what Vader was talking about, and half-also-looking at him suspiciously.

Re: Engineering
She had to learn more about all of the things here she didn't recognize, had to take it apart-- but she was on a mission and was quite determined to finish it.
And then she heard Hiccup's mutterings. He seemed to be looking for materials. Seemed to need help.
And seemed to have a very fake (if primitive) leg. Almost like an early prosthetic.
"Do you need any help?"
Oh, there she goes...

Hiccup looked at the scattered pieces before him, and then nodded his head.
"Probably."

Well, honestly, he was here to muck about for parts, just as Hiccup was, but he didn't have to admit that. Quietly, he observed over Hiccup's mutterings for a few minutes before speaking.
"What is it that meant to be?"

Media Library
Re: Media Library
Before long, Hiccup limped his way into the room on his crutches.
"I hope it's good. I don't know the brewer, or...anything about ale that isn't brewed back home."

The Castle Wyvern
There was a castle that was unlike anything Hiccup had ever seen, being someone that had lived in a small village his whole life.
There was a low whistle as he approached it during his explorations of the city. Given that he needed frequent rests, he decides finding some place inside to rest might be nice, and that exploring it wouldn't hurt anyone.
So in he went, to explore.
Before long, he was curled up on the floor of the castle's library, he'd made a fire in the hearth with his tinderbox, and he was reading books. Even though they weren't in runes, they read that way to him. He didn't question it--it was probably the bizarre magic of the ship.
This one was called Beowulf.
Reading about him was reminding him of everyone he knew from home. Namely, the levels of blind stupidity were around the same highs.
"Oh yes, of course, steal the dragon's treasure and then get all surprised when he comes to attack everyone. Clever clever clever."
Of course, reading about dense warrior people was making him homesick.
Re: The Castle Wyvern
Goliath shakes the last of the stone fragments from his wings, feeling the weariness that comes after a day of healing from the wounds of battle. It's almost a good thing the nights and days on Stacy are so short. He almost doesn't feel fully healed. Another night would do the trick.
For a while he crouches on his ledge, overlooking the city and thinking about the battle. The fighting that was, all things considered, more than a challenge. The retreat that was - considering the fight - too sudden. He can't sink into the comfort of a protected castle tonight. The Ohm's claws sink deep into the universe he's expected now to fight for. To be settled after this battle would be akin to expelling Vikings from one room of the castle, and letting that victory make him forget all the rest.
He has more to consider, but speaking of Vikings, it isn't long before he smells woodsmoke on the air, and sees it rising from one of the chimneys of his very own castle. His thoughts go first to intruders, secondarily that it might be one of his human allies. Either one is worth an investigation.
He finds the boy - the Viking boy - in the library, in his territory, reading his books, and the anger of an intruder looms up fiercely, instinctive and learned and infuriating, this breach of boundaries.
He crosses the room in a few long strides, growling low in his throat, voice like granite slabs grinding against each other, loaded with irritation. "You are tresspassing. Get out."
no subject
Oh no. Oh no oh no. Oh gods. The scary guy again.
Hiccup kicked away from Goliath until he was pinned against a stone wall, clutching Beowulf like it was a precious thing.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean--I didn't mean to intrude, I just was exploring and I found these books and I've never read books like these before--"

The Art Room

With his attention to the art, a figure took this advantage to slowly and steadily approach the unaware boy from behind -- but when he thinks he saw a silhouette and turns to look, there is nothing there.

Boy, was he oblivious.

Re: The Art Room
The events at the end of shore leave, much as she doesn't like to admit it, shook her. So for now she's taken up a place in the Art Hall. It's quiet here, and the shifting statues don't trouble her. They're interesting, and give her something to think about. Even better, one of the ones nearby seems to have taken a liking to her and has been slowly shifting between some of the kills she's taken part in. This cheers her up. Right now, a long-winged Derunian black dragon stands on its rear legs, lashing at several figures less than half its size on the ground darting around it, baring its teeth in a snarl of defiance.
Someone else is in here, moving. Hisk sits up from where she's settled against the plinth of one statue, favoring a recently sprained leg.
"Oi, who goes there?"

Just Hiccup.
