"OW! That so totally hurts!" -- Charles Xavier
The battle against the Ohm raged on, and the casualties on the ground were mounting. Injured crew members got emergency treatment in the field, which largely amounted to patching them up so they wouldn't die sometime within the next fifteen minutes. After that, they were quickly picked up by shuttle and brought back to the ship, where they were sent to a medbay that was getting progressively more crowded.
The situation was growing increasingly dire, to the point that Stacy activated one of the AI's to help out.

"Please state the nature of the medical emergency."

"Blood any good?" he inquired casually.

A bit of colour had returned to her as she finished draining the blood. After she finished the blood she said quietly, "It's better than that slop on the ship."
It was better, but not fantastic. It was nothing compared to human blood, even if it nourished her. "Animal blood is actually unprocessable by many in my world. I am lucky." It wasn't the first time this difference had come in rather useful.

"Then again, I don't know the differences between vampires and High Daylight Walkers."
no subject
"I am unable to eat any human food. My body will reject it. Most times I can not even swallow it. If by High Daylight Walkers you mean humans, I barely would know where to start about the differences we have in our world."

"She sounds pretty powerful, this master of yours." Nanashi didn't want to admit that she had already met Evangeline and been rather intimidated by her. "The only 'holy' items I am effected by are the ones 'blessed' by 'angels'. These creatures that call themselves angels have recently surfaced, and their blood is like poison to us vampires. When they coat something in blood they call it 'blessing' it, and the remnants of their blood continue to act as a poison." Nanashi turned the bag upside down, pouring what was left of the blood into her mouth.
She stood to get more, but felt light-headed and could not help but to sit back down.

"Do you need another one?" inquired Negi as he started to get up.
no subject
"You need to stay lying down, Negi. You were hurt bad."
She was certainly one to talk, with a horribly dark bruise visible through the giant rips in her dress.
no subject
"Are you okay though? No other injuries?"
no subject
In all honesty she should be in a bed herself, her internal injuries far from completely healed, but she just needed more blood and she would be able to move about again. Even if with this injury she moved slower- to the point where it felt like she was moving through molasses- she could still keep up with the fastest human at least.

"Need a pillow at least?"

Nanashi smiled at Negi, lifting the bag to her lips, "No, I am fine, however," she handed him the other blood packet, "If you could hold this against you and maybe keep the blood inside moving...?"
His body heat would warm it up, and it would not clot as long as it kept getting shifted.
no subject
"It's better warm?"
no subject
Nanashi was so accustomed to these concepts they did not even strike her as creepy. She would even be confused as to how it could possibly be creepy if told it was. She often had a hard time seeing things from a human's point of view- especially a human unaccustomed to living around vampires much like herself.
This is what led her to say such things so matter-of-factly. "After all, normally when I drink blood it is rather warm." The more she spoke, the creepier she got sometimes.

Draining the last of that blood bag, Nanashi held her hand out for the bag she had given Negi.

Ahd he nodded. "It would make sense all things considered."

He bit his lip a little. "I hope you enjoy your drink at least."
no subject
"Thank you for your help, Negi. You are very brave, little one." Nanashi patted his leg, "I am glad you are not too severely hurt. I could never forgive myself I I failed to protect you. Or Katara for that matter."

"You're very good with handling the magical weapons of an artifact though," poked up Chamo as he poked his head up. "Maybe someday we'll have to..."
Negi grabbed Chamo and made him bounce. "Enough of that!" He was blushing red, something he didn't want to let her tease him for.

She had been thinking that it would be rather beneficial for her to from a patico with Negi, after seeing that one in action, but the thought of kissing him on the lips seemed so wrong. She was ashamed that she had even considered it, and embarrassed to have Chamo bring it up.

"C-chamo-kun mou..."
no subject
She rolled her shoulders, trying to keep the flush in her cheeks down- which was a good deal harder with all that blood freshly in her system.
She ran her fingers through her hair, glancing over to Negi with a nervous smile.
