Happiness is a warm...kill.
As soon as they had been released, Red Snout had bolted for the nearest wilderness area. Yes the alien guide had said there was a place where you could go to hunt, but what fun was it to hunt something already caged, already captured. Waiting for you to simply sink your claws into it. Instead Red Snout simply ran, bounding off into the unfamiliar forest and running for the sheer joy of being able to stretch his legs on real soil, over actual ground. It seemed that he had been running forever when he at last forced himself to stop, chest heaving and nostrils flaring as he sucked in breath. Where he was now, he wasn't certain. But he was a raptor. And raptors do not get lost. He could find his way back easily enough. For now...time to see what there was to stalk in this new place. He slipped off into the undergrowth, following the scent of some strange animal in the hopes it would lead him to prey.
How fortunate. After a mere hour or two of stalking, he had come upon a mammalian creature grazing in a clearing. Some sort of oddly colored green-brown deer. If he had known what a deer was. It didn't matter. The point was that it was there and he was going to kill it. He tensed, then at last leaped, legs uncoiling as he hurled himself at his prey, a triumphant screech already ripping from his throat. His claws flexed, tore into flesh. The creature screamed, the sound cut off in the middle as Red Snout lowered his head and neatly snapped the thing's neck with a firm bite and a twist of his head. Red Snout, his mouth and claws dripping with gore, tilted his head back and let out another screech of triumph. He had killed his prey. And now he could eat properly for the first time in many, many passings of a moon.

Nanashi slipped out of the bushes, faster than the human eye could follow. She knew she had no scent, aside from the blood of her last meal. She wondered if it was just another forest beast, or had intelligence. Either way, it looked sort of tasty. She wondered if this great predator saw her the same way, or if he could sense that she was not human, and that in the dark of the night, she was known as the most fiercesome predator in many universes.

"What do you want?" He snapped, tensed to move in on direction or another if need be.

Nanashi was in full out hunting mode, and unfortunately, the creature that just ate her previous quarry was being sized up as her new meal. With a velvet smooth voice, Nanashi replied, still circling Red Snout, "Dinner."

"Find your own. This is mine." He said simply.

In her home world, vampires used to wrestle with dragons before they died out. A lizard a third of the size could not be too much of a problem to overcome. Of course, the lizard would be more of a challenge than a human. It could be fun.

"Go away." He was fairly unnerved, not that he would let it show.

Nanashi readied herself to pounce, now that she had done an almost complete circle, and was by the reptile's side. At any moment she would lunge at the lizard, even if the change she made in her stance was just a centimetres here and there.

"Bah! I have waited too long to get off that ship and get a real kill to let you, whoever you may be, interrupt my dinner! Leave, or I shall make you." He glared at the woman, eyes sparking with a deadly light.

Laughing, her whole demeanour changed. She looked a great deal less bestial, and a great deal more statuesque. "A ship-mate! I apologize then! I have no interest in taking blood from crew members against their will. It is just not proper. I am Queen Nanashi of Kuninoryu. And I shall admit, you gained my interest because you are beautiful- you remind me of the great dragons that once lived on my world."
Well, she meant to leave the velociraptor alone, but she really did think him beautiful, and her opinion is very important.
