It felt good to be out of the ship for a while. It didn't take away from his disappointment and frequent thinking about the whole Tom thing, but it felt good to be out in the open and feeling the breezes and thermals that weren't sensorium-created.
He kept a sharp eye out below him, and eagerly snatched up a mouselike creature when he saw it. He was seriously thinking of catching a number of them...the question was, should he kill them and freeze them, like the stuff Cassie's parents bought, or should he bring them back alive and release them into ponics? Fresh usually tasted better. But for now, he ate. After that, he'd hunt down a cage or something to carry them back.
