I DEMAND A REMATCH!

There's a loud snarling echoing through the vicinity of the pod caverns and the clothing room. A bass, throat-rattling snarl that no dog ever spawned could make. It breaks off into an enraged howl.

"WYRM-THING! ABOMINATION! RELEASE ME!"

If you look for the source you'll find Bella the werewolf in war form, suspended from the tentacles in the clothing room. She's soundly entangled and her thrashing is only making it worse. A few bitten off ends of tentacles are lying on the floor.

||Bella. Willfully damaging the ship results in Violations. 15 Violations results in Punishment. This is your only warning.||

Stacy's voice cuts in over Bella's snarls. The tentacles strain, attempting to get loose from the stuck werewolf, but she's too well-snared. Instead this just wrenches her body, prompting a half-roar.

"LET ME GO!" she bellows, sinking her teeth into another tentacle and biting through it.

||Bella. Willfully damaging the ship results in Violations. This is your 1st Violation. 15 Violations results in Punishment.||

The tentacles strain again.

(Would like to run this as a continuous thread to avoid time confusion >.>)

The Talon huffs out a sigh, her ears splaying. "Show throat, Bella! Submit!"

Black hair and glassy blue eyes are peeking around a corner, watching very intently.

Holly was drawn to the clothing room by the sound of what she assumed was a very upset canine of some sort. The sight that she found when she got there was enough to get her reaching for her gun with the intent to blast those damn creepy tentacles away. Captain Short did not like to see animals in any sort of distress.

"How in the name of H.P. Lovecraft did this happen?" The Middleman arrives to check out the source of the hubbub.

"But you are not yielding," One-Leaf-Ear snaps back at Bella, her hackles rising again as she notices the company that's suddenly arrived. "She attacked the ship spirit and angered it," she tells the Middleman, her tone clipped.

Holly-or more accurately, her gun-and Chris, meanwhile, just get snarled at.

"Ship spirit? Oh you mean the Artificial Intelligence? Doubt that's the reason she's still up there. Far more likely that in her attempts to damage the clothing tentacles she got tangled up in them."

"Can you really blame her for attacking them? Those things are creepy." Holly said to the Middleman, voice simply dripping in venom and contempt.

However, his explanation made sense, and she lowered her gun. Best not start shooting at the ship - who knew what would happen if she did.

"Do you require help getting her down?" Holly said to the not-tangled wolf. "I've had experience getting cats down from stalagmites, this wouldn't be too difficult." It was clear the elf respected the wolves a lot more then the human.

"I wasn't blaming her for it, I was merely point out facts, and I have no idea why you're being so hostile towards me. As far as I know I haven't done anything to you to deserve it."

Sigh-huffing again, One-Leaf-Ear looks to Holly. "...I may," she admits, her tone grudging. "But the gun must be away," she snaps, shifting into crinos and staring down at the humanoids as she stands up.

She steps towards the tentacles cautiously, her ears pricking forward as she eyeballs them. "Hrrr," she growls to herself, thoughtfully.

"I'd explain, but I don't have time to list your species' crimes against the world." Holly snapped at the Middleman.

"Ooookay. Big wolf. Troll-size wolf. This is... new." Holly muttered when One-Leaf-Ear shifted forms. She was used to animal-human hybrids that were far taller then herself, but centaurs were more pudgy then pointy.

"Alright. No breaking tentacles, no gun." She tucked her Neutrino into it's holster, then studied the tangled wolf. "Um... how good are your... eh, paws, I guess, with knots?" She asked the big wolf.

"None of which I've actually taken part in. If your speaking of pollution, all of the equipment that a Middleman uses either has it's own completely clean power source or is recharged in systems connected to similar power sources."

"She's a lycanthrophic theriomorph. Better known as a werewolf. I'm assuming the trapped one is the same."

The Talon nods at Bella's comment, sniffing at the tentacles, then snorting as she looks back to Holly, displaying her hands. And they are hands; big, claw-bearing, furred hands with pads, but at least they have opposable thumbs.

"We are Garou," she growls as she looks over to the Middleman. "I am One-Leaf-Ear, and she is Bella."

[identity profile] thehollycopter.livejournal.com 2009-04-20 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Werewolves?" Holly couldn't believe it. "So, humans got mythology right for a change? I'll be damned, I always thought werewolves were a misinterpretation of the demon's moon madness." Of course, she hadn't actually believed in demons until just a few months ago...

"Alright, One-Leaf-Ear. Try getting Bella's front feet untangled first. That way, if she falls, she'll at least be able to see where she's falling and maybe land better. If there's a tentacle a bit thinner then the others, pull that one out first, since it'll come away easier."

Just like trying to get that lemur out of a shuttle's wiring. Plus a gigantic wolf-thing.
