Not Cosplay I Swear
The music attached to a MP3 player scavanged from W&P was blasting in Rein's house, some kind of silly J-Pop that she had immediately liked. Having hooked it up to her stereo she had also discovered in said location, she was zipping around the store, looking for her tape measure.
She hadn't done any tailor work in a while, so it was definitely something to look forward to. And snapping her fingers, a slender girl of four-eleven stood there, zipping to the back and soon coming out in a tribal-like top and skirt, something she liked to lounge around in when she could afford to wear her big-person clothing. That, and the extra arms reach was more than encouraged when doing work like this.
"Hope this is alright," said Rein to herself, fingering the soft cloth that she had hanging around. There was a huge bundle of various fabric all rolled together in the corner, and a large roll of black cloth stood there, awaiting use.

"You'll want something breathable, but strong. I'm thinking this." And she pulled out a stretch of pink cloth that seemed to shimmer with some energy. "The cloth is easily dyed with what I have on stock. Will it suit your needs?"

So many fascinating new things she was discovering on this ship. "Also, do you happen to have anything fire resistant that would still be suitable for my needs?" She figured it was a shot in the dark. Sure, she had hired people in her country to research such a material, but they had not had much luck. Of course things were different here, and there was always a chance.

Nanashi laughed lightly, as if it really was not that important. Of course, fire meant a lot of pain, if not death. Of course she was interested in becoming as fire-resistant as possible.
Speaking as if the matter was far more important she said, "If at all possible, could you dye it red? A dark red. Since I do intend on fighting when I am needed, it is best that blood does not show too well." At the very least, the fabric cannot remain pink. Pink is not powerful. Pink is not sexy. Pink is not in anyway what one thinks of when they think of a Fem Fatale.
Realising that the blood of some of the creatures might not be red- a lesson she took from what Beastboy mentioned about his blood. "Better yet, if the dye is not too expensive, make it black." She had to remember that she did not have money here. Nor did she have any particularly marketable skill. But then again, she had not seen the exchange of any currency on the ship. Which brought up the question, "How much will this cost?"
She had to stop her tongue at the end of the question to keep from adding, 'little one'. This was, for all intents and purposes, a professional setting and business transaction. While her speech was already more formal than most people's she used even more formal speech in these situations.

"Oh and don't worry about payment," added Rein. "We have no currency on the ship so I do this for free. It's a nice relaxing hobby for me, and seeing you wear the outfit would be more than enough payment. And spreading the word too."
Rein smiled as she pulled out her tape measure. "May I? I need to get your measurements to ensure a proper fit."

Nanashi was rather familiar with this process, all of her clothes being custom made. So there were a few good things among the hassles of ruling the country.

"Do you want some matching shoes to go with it as well?"

Now, that was a hard question. She wasn't concerned about protection, since her skin was not exactly easy to break, and even when it did break, it healed instantly. She had always liked the way shoes looked, even if it kept her from feeling the ground beneath her, and made her footsteps audible, even if barely. It also prevented the tiny bones and muscles in her feet from being able to accurately adjust to harder terrain. But they looked so pretty on her feet.
"If you are able to do make a pair of boots that rise just above the ankle, I would be much obliged."

"Back home, we don't have Vampires in our sector of space. The idea of them is mostly in the realm of stories and movies. But to meet one, and a Queen no less, I'm very honored to meet you."

"Why, thank you. In my country, magic like that," she pointed to the machines, "was lost with the dragons. Few still practice those arts, even if I have always wanted to learn some of it."
Well, it didn't help that when the vampires that kept the magic alive in her country refused to teach her, she had them killed. She smiled, thinking how rash she had been back then. It was a lucky thing that the humans had lost magic generations before.

Holding out her hands, she chanted in Ancient Belkan, weaving fire-proofing into the cloth which soaked up her magic greedily.

"So, the more powerful this core is, the more powerful you magic is." Perhaps if this girl thought Nanashi's Linker Core was powerful, she should try and learn some magic from the girl. It could not hurt to try learning, but, "The magic from my world, according to records, was done without any incantations for the most part. It was done by will." And by records, she meant what she had seen being used by the group she killed and had written down.

"You see, in our world, magic is a series of formula run through Devices which focus and conduct the mages natural magic and then is formed into spells of varying output. We call the incantations at it's most primal form Chaos Words, and are designed to rhythmically channel the energies into a superstring of energy."

"Magic was always raw power in my world, and the most recent version we had was a corrupted version of what we had been taught by dragons. It was probably best that it died out." Better that it died out then be a power that could threaten her position.
