Just for show
Char has only one focus in mind when he reaches the hangar - well, technically, two.
Sure enough, there stands his Sazabi, looking to be completely undamaged from its fight with the Nu Gundam standing next to it, despite Char having a rather vivid memory of it being nearly totaled no more than a day ago, tops. Pleased as ever, Char mounts the scaffolding next to it and makes a beeline for the cockpit. He doesn't have any particular plans for the unit (although Nu being right there within punching distance made vandalism awfully tempting), he just feels the need for the familiarity of its cockpit, and the psycoframe system, in the strange, strange new world he had suddenly found himself in.
"Never thought I'd be this attached to a unit," Char mutters to himself as he starts the machine up and dons the psycommu helmet unit to link up with the sensor and weapons systems. "I must be getting dependent in my old--"

"Wh-what the hell is this pressure?" Char practically yells once he's connected to the psychoframe. "It's enormous...could it be the ship?"
Char takes the helmet off, disconnecting himself from Sazabi's psychic enhancement. He's breathing heavily from the effects of the shock. "That's going to take some getting used to."

...but a shout echoing through the hangar catches his attention, and Kira notices something very odd. While the giant mecha resembles some ZAFT designs, this mobile suit isn't like anything he's ever seen before - nor are the logos and insignias it bears.
The young pilot finds himself walking closer, inspecting it and wondering if whoever shouted is there. "Are you all right?"

Char's looking around his cockpit (head-mounted, for the record, so he's quite a bit up there), throwing a few breakers to eliminate the psychic feedback. "I didn't take into account that a huge creature like Stacy would have a huge mind!" he calls down. "This Sazabi's one big psychic amplifier, so getting in was like a flash grenade for my brain. Hopefully I can get used to it..."

"I've never heard of a Mobile Suit that could do something like that before," he called up.

"It's probably the world I come from," he responded, looking for a way up the scaffolding so they wouldn't have to keep shouting like this. "I recognize most of them - but I didn't know anyone else called them Gundams, too."
After all, it was just a nickname he'd given his based on the OS acronym.

"Hey. What was that all about?!"

Then again, according to Sazabi's mobile suit database...this thing looked like a Gouf, and would clearly pass for one if viewed from a distance or under heavy Minovsky particle density, but with a clear view, his MS's sensors were giving him "Unknown Model".

"I'm getting the impression that some of you are either far into our future, or from a different place entirely, even though you have similar mobile suit technology and are familiar with things like the GOUFs and those annoying robots that Athrun makes."

"Hey! Are you alright?" she called up, sounding slightly concerned.

"Psychics?"

Char pauses, trying to explain. "Pretend you can feel the presence of other minds. Now consider that this whole ship is a living being with its own mind. Opening my mind here is like expecting a room full of candles, then staring directly into the sun instead."

"I think I've got it."

"Char!!!! Just what do you think you're doing!?"

As quickly as his legs could carry him onto the catwalk he was there, hopping a guard rail to climb directly into the cockpit of Nu. Despite what damage it had received in the battle above Axis, it was still intact- No, it was completely restored. Had they fixed it? Now wasn't the time to think about that, though- He activated the suit, and...
Pressure. Sudden overwhelming pressure. His head was splitting, and it was hard to reach the controls... What was going on here!?

Char stares at the console as his thoughts pour out with barely any time for him to form them into sentences. "Earth is gone. The colonies are gone. Everyone I was trying to save - everyone you were trying to save - is gone. Even the ghost of Lalah who's been haunting me for the last 15 years...assuming she even existed outside my mind."
no subject
"This... This pressure... You knew this was going to happen... What is this? Are you trying to tell me that all of that is true? That it was all meaningless? Just what are you trying to prove? Are you saying we should just give up now!?"

Finding an aisle, he lead the way down it. How was he supposed to find Shinkirou, Lancelot Frontier, and Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. in all of this? But then Char's shout caught his attention, and he headed in the direction of the echo.
"Captain?" he asked. The massive vehicle was easily five times as large as a Knightmare, and there was no way that could fit into the hangar of the Avalon.
After taking a moment to take this in, he started in closer. "Captain Aznable?"
((Aaaaah, so much spec failure.))

A bit alert at the yelling about "pressure" and now the emergence of the source of the voice, she turns to Lelouch and comments, "New friend of yours?"

"There weren't any frames like these back home..."

He bows very slightly to Kallen and CC. "Captain Char Aznable, at your service. So, 'frames' are your versions of mobile suits, then?"
