Movie Time [OPEN]

Vivio was still feeling a bit down even after that time after being beaten by Negi. It shouldn't of bothered her this much, but she felt that she seemed... inferior all of a sudden. There was a boy her age with magical powers and he beat her. And it while it was a simple sparring match, to her, it was a trouncing.

It didn't help that Nanoha was watching and Vivio couldn't tell if she was proud or disappointed in what transpired.

In an attempt to get her mind off of it, she wandered off into her home away from home away from home - the Media Library. Poking through some of the movies there, her eyes widened as she saw a certain title. A smile crossed her face as she loaded it up and entered the pod where it was playing at.

The movie?

It was the story of two little girls. One of them was a simple child trying to find her place in the world, until a chance encounter with a strange creature would set her on the path to destiny. The other was, well, born differently and despite this, she sought to win her mother's love, despite the fact that she abused her regularly because of who she was.

It told of how these two girls would meet and form the greatest of bonds through the power of friendship. And giant frickin' magical laser beams.

Though the looks were different, people on board the ship would easily recognize the two girls. Especially if they knew Vivio.

Well, Hikari and Tailmon were walking by the Media Library as well, and noticed Vivio there. "Oh, hey Vivio. What's up?" Hikari asked, a small smile on her face.

Tailmon smiled. It seemed like Hikari was starting to get used to what was going on and was getting to be a little bit happier.

Vivio blinked and turned her head, smiling as she saw Hikari there. "Oh, Hikari! Hi!" She giggled a bit. "Don't mind me, I was just watching a movie...!"

Hikari giggled. "Cool. Mind if we watch too?"

"Oh, sure! Make yourself comfortable!" Vivio said, making room so Hikari and Tailmon could sit down.

Hikari smiled, moving herself and Tailmon to sit next to Vivio.

Tailmon smiled. "So... what's this movie about?"

One could walk and not walk when and where she pleased, and Alessa was of that sort. Specifically, Alessa knew Vivio, the daughter of Nanoha and Fate, who had yet to show her an unkind eye and who, in her own way, she liked.

She looked at the movie with fading interest. "What is this movie?" she asked.

Vivio blinked in surprise hearing Alessa's voice. That was one she hadn't heard in awhile. Turning her head, she blinked in surprise, still wondering as to how she can sneak up on everyone like that.

"Oh, Alessa!" Vivio said, recovering a bit. "It's been awhile!" Noticing that Alessa didn't recognize the people, Vivio continued. "It's my mamas! Can't you tell?"

Granted, they're a) 9 years old, b) wearing Barrier Jackets that are much different from the norm and c) no one's seen Nanoha and Fate as kids would make it a bit harder to figure out.

Alessa liked appearing out of the blue. It reminded her that she was still different from these humans and all of their problems. With Vivio, she dropped that particular superiority complex.

"Indeed it has," She said. "Your mamas? AS in, Nanoha and Fate them? So their romantic feelings started that long ago?"

It was...almost romantic if one believed in those terms.

"Uh-huh!" Vivio said. "Well, I dunno if they were in love since then, but they were really close since they were kids themselves!"

"What a weird circumstance," Alessa said, half to herself. "To have known each other that long. It must be what humans call true love, I suppose."

She was quiet a moment, thinking of Shadow. What WERE they anyway? She was likely to think of herse;fa stalkler in comparison, but he HAD kissed her back. It was certainly a strange match.

Nanoha had been just walking through the ship exploring it, as she was wont to do, when she saw a familiar figure sitting in the Media Library watching something - the screen was obscured from this angle.

She smiled, and went to approach her daughter silently... but then she caught sight of what Vivio was watching, and froze in her footsteps.

A movie...?!

Vivio, for the most part, had been entranced by the movie. A random head movement got her to see Nanoha in the corner of her eye. She turned fully and smiled.

"Nanoha-mama! Hi!" Vivio said. Then, she noticed Nanoha's reaction. "Um, what's wrong?" Then, she looked back at the movie playing, then back at her mother, a sheepish grin on her face.

Don't you love surprises from the future?

Sorry, she was still having trouble getting around the idea that there was a movie about her and Fate. "Er... Vivio, there's... I mean, that's..."

"...a movie? R, really?"

Vivio chuckled a bit at Nanoha's shock and confusion.

"Mmm-hmm! It was a shock to you and Fate-mama then, too! We even got to go down and see the movie being produced, too!" Vivio said. "I still think it's odd seeing you like that..."

She pointed to the Barrier Jacket the movie Nanoha was wearing - a little less of a schoolgirl outfit and a little more of a certain giant robot.

"Really? Well, then I guess the me in the future was okay with it," Nanoha gave a little smile before moving to sit next to Vivio.

"...you're right," she nodded. "That's not how my Barrier Jacket looked at all, back then. They must have changed it for the movie."

Fletcher had come to the media library for research and science. He was carrying a spiral notebook and a pencil, and headed for the science books, when he passed the pod where Vivio was sitting and looked in. Luckily, movies weren't too strange to him... The theaters in Amestris only had black and white silent films, and he hadn't actually seen any, but he knew they existed.

He stepped in, and moved over to her, then looked up at the screen quizzically. The girls did look vaguely familiar... "Vivio? What're you watching?"

Vivio turned her head and blinked seeing Fletcher with her, but her surprise turned into one of joy.

"Fletcher-kun! Hi!" she said. "I'm watching a movie about my mamas when they were little!"

"Oh! They've known each other that long?" That's why they looked familiar... He smiled for a second, but was still a little confused. He wasn't really one to question how different universes worked, but the scientific part of his mind still wanted an answer...

"Um, Vivio? How is it that you have two mothers...?"

A worried look formed on Vivio's face. Should she...?

"...I was adopted." Vivio said. "You see, I... really wasn't born born. I was created. I was made to be someone else's weapon, but I ended up in Nanoha-mama's care. She adopted me and Fate became my guardian, but... in truth, they're both my mamas, no matter what."

Her worried look turned into one of a smile. "But, it doesn't matter who I am or what they are. I'm Vivio Takamachi. I'm Nanoha-mama's daughter. And Nanoha and Fate are my mamas. And that's how I like it!"

"O-oh..." Fletcher looked aside, feeling sheepish. He shouldn't have asked...

"I'm--I'm glad you have them both! That's really awesome for you. Sorry for asking..."

Negi had an instinctive process when girls were feeling down, and so gathering his courage and a packet of warm popcorn snitched from the bus's supply of real food, he had set out. Asking around, he had located Vivio who was watching a movie.

Wow, those were incredible special effects. Almost seemed too much NOT like CGI...

Pushing the ironic thoughts away, he cleared his throat. "Vivio?"

When Vivio heard her name being called out, she turned and blinked in surprise seeing who was there.

"N-Negi? Is something wrong?" Vivio asked, trying to push back those feelings again.

Negi walked up to Vivio and bowed a little, offering the popcorn. "I wanted to apologize. I went a little too far in our sparring match and for that, I'm sorry if I offended you."

"So I'm offering this peace offering of caramel popcorn and my sincerest apologies." said Negi. "Peace?"

Vivio blinked in surprise at what Negi was doing... then let out a sigh. He read her like a book. She laughed nervously, then looked back at Negi, a small smile on her face.

"No, it's not your fault. I took it a bit too personally." Vivio said. "But... apology accepted!" She scooted over a bit to let Negi sit with her.

Negi smiled in relief as he sat down and handed her the popcorn. "Thank goodness. I was so worried you were upset after that spar. I guess I shouldn't have gone all out."

He looked at the movie and lowered his voice. "Who are those two?"
