Operation: Reunite my Mamas [Closed]
The messages were sent. Hopefully, both Nanoha and Fate were on their way. For the past "week" or two, Vivio had watched as neither of her parents had even talked to each other. Even worse, it seemed like those she asked for help couldn't get through to them... or possibly didn't bother.
And after that horrible dream - a world where she was with NEITHER? She didn't want to deal with it anymore. She had to reunite her family again. And this was the only way she could think of.
Hopefully, she was expecting them to find a Barrier Jacketed Vivio waiting for them in some abandoned city setting in the Sensoriums. Instead, she chose Nanoha's house - their house. And Vivio would be hiding as, hopefully, they'd arrive and find each other.
As Vivio went and hid, she waited...
Please... let this work...

Please... let this work...

"... Vivio?" She called out as she stepped inside.

She opened the door, calling out for her daughter. "Hello? Vivio, are you here?"
no subject
Fate, who had wandered into another room, froze in her tracks. Why was Nanoha here...? Had Fate been in her right mind, she probably would have realized this was a setup, but between all that's happened in the past few weeks, the thought didn't even occur to her.
no subject
...the blonde-haired girl who was standing in the room that she'd just entered.
"Fate-chan...?"
What was this?
no subject
She wouldn't turn around. She couldn't turn around. She fixed her gaze on a point on the wall straight in front of her. If she turned to face Nanoha now, after everything that had happened(the fight, sulking, the nightmare)...
There was still a bit of stubbornness left in her. She wouldn't let herself crack now. So she took a deep breath, determined to keep her voice steady as she spoke again.
"What are you doing here?"
no subject
...but also regret. Nanoha was stubborn to the end, but even she knew that she'd been a bit too harsh. And then there had been that dream, where not only had her recklessness gotten her disabled permanently, but Fate hadn't been in her life, and--
"Vivio asked me here. To help her with her magic."
no subject
"She asked me to come here for the same reason."
no subject
The girl trailed off, comprehension on her face, and then she seemed to deflate, her shoulders slumping slightly. "I don't think she wanted help with her magic at all, did she."
no subject
"... She must be really upset, huh?"
no subject
"Did... either of us talk to her?" She'd just assumed that Vivio wouldn't notice that they weren't talking, given how busy everybody was...

A pause. "Fate-chan, I... I'm sorry."
no subject
"I-I..." She had to pause and take a breath to steady her voice; that's how badly it was shaking now. "I'm sorry too."
no subject
"Why are you apologizing? Don't apologize. It was my fault."
no subject
The more rational part of Fate's brain was agreeing with Nanoha at the moment. It really wasn't her fault. She was just concerned for Nanoha's health...
"And I shouldn't have gotten that angry..."
no subject
"You were just trying to help."
no subject
She knew it was silly, and that most of it was caused by Nanoha's stress... but she wouldn't let the other girl place the blame solely on herself.
no subject
And now, Fate, she'd let go of your hand--
--but only to throw her arms around you. "I'm so sorry."
no subject
"I forgive you, Nanoha. Of course I do..." Fate said, voice shaking as she wrapped her arms tightly around the other girl. "And I'm sorry for hovering all the time. I just... don't want anything to happen to you..."
This, of course, reminded her of Nanoha's last words before she had stormed off after their fight. Her promise to use the Blaster System if things really got bad...
no subject
"I know why you do it." And yes, it did make her irritated sometimes, but... she couldn't fault her for caring too much.
no subject
She was silent for a moment, trying to figure out how to bring up what was bothering her now. The last thing she wanted was for Nanoha to get angry again, but...
"Nanoha... can I ask you something?"
no subject
She tilted her head to the side before resting it against Fate's shoulder.
no subject
"I know my worrying is one of the things that caused this mess... so I won't tell you not to use the Blaster System if something happens. Just..." She leaned forward a little, pressing her forehead to Nanoha's. "Try not to overdo it, okay?"
no subject
"I promise I'll only use it if I need to. And I'll use it only as much as I need to."
A little smile. "I won't do anything too stupid."
no subject
She knew there were more important things too, which is why she didn't tell Nanoha not to use the Blaster System at all. She didn't like that mode, but sometimes that much force was necessary.
no subject
"Erm... Fate-chan, so... there's something I've really been missing for a while, you know? So--"
And without further ado Nanoha threw her arms around the other girl, pressing her lips to Fate's.
no subject
no subject
...have really taken a toll on Nanoha. Which would be the reason she pushed you up against the wall of the house (their house?), one arm wrapping around your waist and the other coming to your hair.
no subject
Nanoha so bold.Okay, that surprised Fate a little, but she only pulled back for a second to take a quick breath before pressing her lips to Nanoha's again. Her hands were on the other girl's shoulders now, slowly curling into fists as she gripped the fabric of her plantsuit.no subject
In fact, she was just going to go ahead and skip to the "loosening the seams" part.
no subject
Were they talking?
It got the better of her and she had to run in and see.
Finding the room they were in, she went to open her mouth, hoping to say something just in case their meeting went south...
And she just stared in awkward silence as she saw her mothers. Together. Acting as if they were... well... fighting? No, not fighting - Nanoha-mama and Fate-mama were kissing.
Whatever they were doing? It was causing poor Vivio's face to turn red in embarrassment.
no subject
...and so froze with her hand loosening Fate's plantsuit, turning her head just enough to see the girl watching the two of them.
"V-Vivio...?!"
no subject
This can't be happening.
A split second after noticing the room's third occupant, Fate turned away with a surprised yelp, quickly trying to fix her plantsuit. Oh god this was worse than that mistletoe incident...
Just give Fate-mama a minute to freak out, guys, then she'll be able to talk again.
no subject
"Erm... is... is everything okay?" Vivio asked
no subject
"...we, um, didn't know you were in here."
no subject
"I'm sorry I lied to bring you two here, but... when you two weren't talking to each other and Nanoha-mama wasn't around with Fate-mama, I knew something was wrong. I wanted to listen to what Rein-chan and Matt and Dr. McNinja had told me, but..." she shook her head. "...I couldn't. Not after a dream I had..."
no subject
She knelt down in front of her daughter. "You can forgive us, right?"
no subject
no subject
...then nodded and hugged the both of them.
"I don't want to lose either of you..." Vivio said.

She was happy. She had her parents together again, and that's all she ever wanted. "Again, I'm sorry I did what I did..."
no subject
no subject
"The last thing we need right now is to be apart, right?"
