crunch, munch, omnnomicom
She had arrived as promised and settled with her Jed-Eye cloak around her as she sat on the observation deck's floor. Either the person on the end of that omnicom was going to show, or they were not. If they still needed help, she would help them. If not...well, it was always a good thing to sit. Arha attempted to meditate, but found herself half asleep, which was most ill advised, but the cloak was warm enough and she was tired enough to make that a moot fact.
The light doze, however, was easily interrupted.

"Eee. Rrr-enne noh hurrr-t Awrrr-ha."

Okay, yes. By now, it's a full-out snuggle. His skin's flashing all shades of blue and ocean-bluegreeny.

Chirp. Despite blushing to the point of becoming a little blue glowbug in the face, the oddity stifles a yawn and curls up. Yes, right then and there, curls right up. And purrs.

"Hey, Arha!" he called from partway across the obs deck, and made his way over to her through the fleshy chairs.

Another life-sign indeed, if you can say that of raw emotion. Immediately, both big ears perk up and the oddity (albeit reluctantly) crawls into a kind of protective-animal posture.
Sniff of the air.
Then a wary, tentative kind of growl-chirp.

"Mm, speak of Luke Skywalker," she said with a low laugh, "and here he comes. Hello, my Jed-Eye. Come, sit with us and meet my friend, Renne. This is the Jed-Eye I spoke about."
no subject
"I'm Luke Skywalker," he said, and held out a hand as he projected soothing feelings in the Force. "Nice to meet you, Renne."
no subject
Pardon him. At first, he's a wary little thing, like an animal approaching a human might be. A brief purr to Arha but then his ears go down-and-back a little.
He's not moving too far away from her right now.
"Loooook?"

Making her little blue friend ill, was not such a good thing. It still worried at her.

He caught those thoughts after a moment, and pulled in, made his Force presence as small as he could without vanishing entirely. Luke could hide in the Force--he'd learned it from his son who'd learned it from Jacen--but that'd make Mara worry, and if there was one thing that none of them needed, it was more troubling thoughts.
"You two sure look cozy," he said. Luke kept his hands away from his lightsaber and crysknife, where Renne could see them clearly.
no subject
Which, incidentally, he can't.
Thus, the slower, measured movements and nearly constant fact of at least a hand/paw or a foot touching something, be it the floor or, in this case, Arha's lap. Oh, and, ah, he's not being rude or anything but no, the Renne's not "looking" anywhere or reacting to any visual stimuli. Never has, never will.
Chirrup. Sniff.
"Eeee. Looook noh hurrr-t Awrrrr-ha."

There was, as always, a brilliant glow of affection when it came to Luke, though it was more muted thanks to ill rest the nightmares were inflicting. It was the sort of thing that would never fade, and Luke would always be the dearest of friends no matter what happened. Besides, she would do just about anything to protect him and Mara. Such was a thing not broken easily.

"I could no more hurt Arha than I could hurt my wife or son," he said seriously. "She's like my own family. And you're her friend, which makes you just as important."

The first words have the oddity relaxing a little. The ears aren't down so much they appear slicked-back anymore. More like a semi-relaxed flop, their current position. Well, until the Male's last words send those ears perking straight up.
Oh yes, caught this beastie by surprise, you did.

She could have hugged him tight for that, but she didn't move, she just smiled.
no subject
"It's true," Luke said, smiling. "A Jedi doesn't tell lies.

That gets a few things out of him. A twitch of his ears, a sniff and a questioning chirp. Shades of blue flash across his skin but that blue seems muted, as if overlaid with a kind of brown slate.
"Eeee...Yeu noh tehll Un-trrroof?"
no subject
"No untruths," Arha murmured, her voice quiet with a hint of amused curiosity to it.

It's not a flippant tone of voice; simply the observation of a life-form with a very long and very checkered history.
A chirp later and the oddity carefully crawl-bumbles toward this Luke-person's scent. Scent. Not seeking by sight.

It's clumsy and probably looks utterly silly but the first thing the Renne's face runs into is one of this Luke-person's legs. Nose-twitching, he sniffs until the outstretched hand is found.
At which point?
Another sniff. Then a lick.
