She had arrived as promised and settled with her Jed-Eye cloak around her as she sat on the observation deck's floor.  Either the person on the end of that omnicom was going to show, or they were not.  If they still needed help, she would help them.  If not...well, it was always a good thing to sit.  Arha attempted to meditate, but found herself half asleep, which was most ill advised, but the cloak was warm enough and she was tired enough to make that a moot fact.

The light doze, however, was easily interrupted.

It doesn't take too long but when the oddity does sniff his way to the Observation Deck, it's...well, Engineers and Computer Nerds, look away now. The Omnicom is quite securely in the oddity's mouth, for yes, he's carrying the thing like a dog or cat might carry something.

Excuse him as he chirps with his mouth full.

Arha cracked an eye open at the chirp and smiled. Ah, mystery solved. It was her little pirate friend. She tried not to yawn and scrubbed a hand through her hair, which seemed perpetually messy these days.

"Renne," she murmured. "You have found your omnicom, mm?"

Chitter. The ears perk forward and when he's near enough to Arha's scent, the beastie at least tries to carefully deposit the omnicom thing on the floor. It...may have a few teeth-marks on it.

"Om-nom-com?"

Cue the eyebrow going up. Another ear-twitch. Sniff. And then? A grin and a playful rowr, preceding a springing pounce!

"Awrrr-ha!"

"Hey there," she said with a soft laugh, giving him a proper, gentle, snuggle. "And yes, omnicom."

She gets a proper snuggle back. And a nuzzle before those big ears give a twitch.

"Wha-t be Om-nom-com?"

meaning the thing he had in his mouth earlier.

"That thing you were chewing on. That's an omnicom." She brushed her fingers over his head with a smile. "It lets you communicate with the rest of the people on the ship."

"Eee. Haow? Rrr-enne noh thin-k it do worrk."

Well, no, it doesn't work if you bite it.

"That's probably because you were gnawing on it," Arha said. She used the Force to lift the omnicom and spun it around before it settled into her outstretched palm. The calculator sized pad was text-only, so she shifted them a bit to show him. "But I can fix it so it reads messages to you and lets you speak to it if you'd like."

He's never encountered the Force.

Chittering softly, the beastie crawls to sit on the floor nearby. A wary expression passes his face -- instincts unsure if this Force thing is magic or not. Then again, "magic" according to his own anatomy is an odd and very broad thing to explain.

By now, it might be known that anything not involving scent, sound, or touch, well...he's oblivious to it.

"Eee...Rrr-enne noh un-derrr-stahnd Om-nom-com."

"Sorry," she murmured. "That's the Force. It doesn't hurt anyone, I promise." She fiddled with the omnicom idly, and glanced at him. "The omnicom is a place you can...talk to other people, or put down your thoughts about this place, about people. it can be used to share information as well."

"Eee. Is mah-gic?"

It's a wary kind of question but it's not her he's afraid of. It's his own anatomy. Two chitters and a chirp later, the beastie crawls closer, sniffing and snuffling at about Arha's knee-level.

"No, not magic," she said, holding out her hand so he could investigate if he wanted. "Is magic bad for you?"

"Eee...eeey-ess."

To him, it's just a fact. It's a fact however, that he knows to watch for if he wants to keep on staying alive.
Ending up bumping lightly into Arha's extended hand, the oddity sniffs at her from fingertip to half up the forearm.

"Wha-t Fohrrrrce be?"

If it's science? He could handle it.

"It is a part of Luke Skywalker's universe. A power. I do not think it is magic. It is...alive. It is something I feel." She tapped her chest gently. "I have...midichlorians in me, from the universe of the Jed-Eye. They are alive. I do not know if they are what makes this Force work, if the energy they have...are, ah, what helps me do these things. But, I do not think it is magic, Renne. It is something you can tell? If it is magic?"

Luke...who?

Now he's confused.

"Looook? Wha-t be Looook? Haow he wahl-k on sky? Feel...Li-ke Em-pahff do? Ohrrr is in So-lid? Li-ke bo-ne?"

Sweet gods, he's confused. So, with a nod, the beastie partially Transcends and just lets his most natural instinct do its thing: Magic detect.

"Luke Skywalker is a man, Renne. Solid. And that is is name, like mine is Arha. He is very, very good with using the Force." And then Renne did his thing and Arha smiled, fascinated, and let him do what he needed to do. Hopefully, it wouldn't be something that would harm him.

That was the last thing she wanted.

"Eee..."

He can still speak verbally while partially Transcended but it sounds quite odd. Eerie, as if five voices echo all at once. Well, he doesn't appear to "normal" either, what with being half-solid and half-vapour and all.
A few minutes later, the oddity solidifies fully with a definite, if faint, tinge of pea-green to his skin.
His body's verdict? Not entirely nonmagic but not entirely magic either.

"Is it bad?" she asked very softly, understandably worried when he solidified once more. "Will it hurt you?" Hurting him would be intolerable as he was, well, adorable and curious and-- And not someone who should ever be hurt.

"Eee...bi-t. But if Rrr-enne noh tou-ch tha-t, is noh ba-d."

Chitter. Given what he is, and if she's one to have emotional "runoff", the oddity offers a chirrup and a little nuzzle. So long as "magic" doesn't directly touch him, he's fine.
Sniff. Nuzzle. Lick.

"I'll be extra careful," she murmured, running her fingers against his head and ears. "Just in case. No Force using around you." Arha could do that for him and her smile was soft as she let out a hitch of a sigh. There was no way to chance it and she was good enough that she could suppress it. Obi-Wan would be proud of her, then, as she simply shut the Force away with nary a squeak of it left. It could be done, even if it was easier to just let go.

"Eee."

Now comes a blush. Then an outright purr at the touch along his ears. However, a small frown of guilt crosses his face and the oddity leans in to kind of nuzzle against her.

"Rrr-enne sohrr-rrree. Rrrr-enne noh wahn-t Awrrrr-ha hurrr-ted."

"Ah, Renne," she said, her touch gentle as she brushed her fingers against his ears, "it doesn't hurt. Maybe I miss it a little when I tuck it away, but it is always there when I reach for it. It is okay for me to do this thing. You are important and I do not wish to harm you."

Aw, now he's blushing like a little blue glowworm. Chittering, the beastie flat out crawls up onto Arha's lap and proceeds to...well...come pretty damn close to a full-on snuggle.

"Eee. Rrr-enne noh hurrr-t Awrrr-ha."

Arha held him wordlessly for awhile. "Everything is okay, such I promise," she murmured, cuddling him soothingly. "Do not worry."

Okay, yes. By now, it's a full-out snuggle. His skin's flashing all shades of blue and ocean-bluegreeny.
