We've got a few secrets left, and we're gonna use them. But just know that the end is coming.

There are three major things happening. One of them is that the crew is sweeping through the ship, scanning whoever they find, and shipping the restrained Controllers back to the MedBay with some crew members.

Another is Paco--or his Yeerk, at least--is leading Scorpius, who appears to have betrayed the crew, towards the machine, hidden away in an alcove in the city, attached to one of the fleshy walls near one of Stacy's nerve clusters. It took them quite a while to find it.

The Yeerks do so love collaborators.

The last thing happening is the Doctor, Master, and Bumblebee, with the last one carrying an unconscious West, are hunting for that same machine and closing in.

With all these thing happening at once, the shit is, as they say, about to hit the fan.

Javert and the others are trudging below, dragging Xander along and, in Javert's case at least, looking quite annoyed. He's being none too careful with Xander's body, either.

Samus followed along, the only reason she was still with a group was because power-suitless, she was sort of useless against another armed threat like Xander.

The Chief arrives with rifle in hand. "He's one of Them?" He nods to Xander. It seems to be that the crew is managing, so far, to hold off the controllers and it seems to him that if the controllers caught someone they'd be quick to infest them. Hence, no restraints would be necessary.

Once the psychics had confirmed that Xander was the only Controller, Ax stepped forward to explain.

< Several other members of the crew, including Xander, have been taken over by alien parasites from my universe, or one closely related. They intend to take over the Stacy's mind as well, but their normal method won't work, so they have come up with an alternate plan. If they succeed, they will likely damage Stacy's memory banks and we risk losing the coordinates for our home times and universes. If you can still fight, come with us. >

He recoiled when he saw Chaucer toying with his Dracon beam. < Be careful with that! >

"Explains why this one," she motions to Xander, "had threatened me. Told me I would be helpful in this plan."

She added on, "I can fight, but I'd prefer if I could get a weapon myself. I don't want to get caught unarmed again."

She would really settle for anything at this point.

"Here." Have a sidearm. The Chief's happy with his rifle, and offers Samus the M6G pistol.

Looks just like her Paralyzer gun. Sort of. She takes it with sort of a nod, an unspoken thanks which is about as polite as Samus will ever get. At least she's armed now.

Oh look!

There's a Karamedic!

With a bright smile on her face and her long, blonde hair tousled with all of the running to and fro.

She's got a lot of energy, this one.

"Hey guys. Anyone need to get taken to the MedBay?"

"Just Xander this time," says Cybil.

Kara nods and scoops up the handsome Californian. "Thanks," she said, nodding before zooming off.

"Well, zis is fun!" Random giggled. "We're off to see za wizard! Or the brain-sucking slugs, vhatever." He's skipping along, definitely skipping.
It's kind of unnerving.
Ve're never letting you vatch ze Wizard of Oz again, Icy informs him testily.
Meanie, Random replies, pouting.

Soundwave felt like putting off some weight out of his shoulders. At least a lot of Controllers are getting dished off and bonded. But I guess it isn't too good to be relaxed. He tensed for a moment, eyeing the free and hyper Blitzwing, and sighed through his intakes.

With that last one, taken care, it was time to move along again, and what they found was...

Horrifying.
