We've got a few secrets left, and we're gonna use them. But just know that the end is coming.
There are three major things happening. One of them is that the crew is sweeping through the ship, scanning whoever they find, and shipping the restrained Controllers back to the MedBay with some crew members.
Another is Paco--or his Yeerk, at least--is leading Scorpius, who appears to have betrayed the crew, towards the machine, hidden away in an alcove in the city, attached to one of the fleshy walls near one of Stacy's nerve clusters. It took them quite a while to find it.
The Yeerks do so love collaborators.
The last thing happening is the Doctor, Master, and Bumblebee, with the last one carrying an unconscious West, are hunting for that same machine and closing in.
With all these thing happening at once, the shit is, as they say, about to hit the fan.

Re: The Statuary
Let's see. Jaime, Danny, Robin, and Kara.
"Guys, scan 'em. Make sure Robin's the only one."
He will be.
Re: The Statuary
Of course, the robots could back him up on that.
Re: The Statuary
Soundwave raised an optic ridge, looking pointedly at Blitzwing, his visor, a mellow red. But he more or less, shrugs and looks at Robin again. "An unpleasant idea, Blitzwing. With my mass of a Scion XB and yours with a tank or a jet, we might crush him. That is out of the question."
Of course, he would take the joke quite seriously. But he knew of the triplechanger's unprecedented 'randomness' so he would might as well warn him.
He looked at Jono for the obvious confirmation, and then back at Robin. He would lightly pin the organic down with the press of a hand.
Re: The Statuary
"It vas a joke," he muttered. "Nobody can take a joke around here, I swear."
He looked around briefly.
"A giant spider...hmph. Blackarachnia vould be ten times vorse zan any giant spider they could conjure up. At least giant spiders don't usually have grudges," he mused idly, with nothing else to do.
Re: The Statuary
Re: The Statuary
Oh look, they're getting along so well! Isn't that great?
Re: The Statuary
"We'd better get him (he nods to Robin) better secured if he can get out of that, instead of just standing here talking about it. Better alternatives to current bonds, anyone?"
He wants to get moving again, the seconds are ticking by and they have a limited number of those to spare before the Yeerks do something nasty. Unfortunately, he has no better idea of what to do with Robin bar hauling him back to the medbay and seeing if the restraints there are any better.
Re: The Statuary
Re: The Statuary
He stared at Robin once more, his hand, pinning a bit harder to keep him in place. Indeed, they need new bonds. He couldn't just stand around, the only thing holding him down.

In the next moment, it's taken shape and coiled tightly around Robin, his new bonds resembling a spacey sci-fi spider web. Billy confirms that the item is operating as intended with a glance, and turns to explain to the group.
"I've confined him with a web of transparent matter-restricting material. It will tighten at a rate proportional to his struggles, similar to the operation of a Chinese finger trap. Fortunately for us, though, this device is not nearly as easy to escape from. The bonds will remain in place until this button is pushed."
He gestures to a second button on the sphere.

Soundwave scanned through the bonds and he was more or less, satisfied. Even a robot can't easily break through that contraption. He slowly lets go of Robin before he looked at the oragnic. "Can this...material produce more of the substance so that we can confine the other Yerrks as well?"

"There's no chance he'd get out of it while it's expanding, right?"
She might deal a lot with alien technology, but that sure doesn't mean she trusts it.

"It's highly improbable that escape will be possible, but I'm hesitant to give an absolute answer. These restraints were designed for high-risk captures, therefore they will in all likelihood remain tight, but it would probably be wise to remain within arm's reach during the first test."
He tilts his head to Soundwave during that last line.

"Billy, do you think it is possible for the Yerrks to respond or react to acoustics or sound manipulation?"
no subject
"The only problem with that method of attack, though, is that we don't know the sound pressure needed to damage the Yeerks, if there is one. We could easily cause irreversible damage to the rest of the crew while leaving the Yeerks unaffected if their threshold is high enough."

"Cybil, will you still require my assistance in capturing the Yerrks?" He gazed at her briefly, having that composed expression.

"Let's all keep moving."
So they do. Into the next confrontation. (http://community.livejournal.com/trans_9/23505.html?thread=2228689#t2228689)
