Brawling the Night Away [OPEN]

Shadow would admit it - he wasn't a very social person. If he did anything, it was probably because someone dragged him into it or he had something to prove, but for the most part, he tend to shy away from hanging around others. What he wouldn't admit, though, was that he was starting to enjoy some of the company around.

For now, though, he'd find a bit of solace in some training. He didn't have the colorful collection of threats that this Sonic knew, so he preferred to use threats he knew from his world - namely the machines the peace-keeping organization G.U.N. had sent him. And with the sensoriums being the best place to find them (since they could be easily created), Shadow didn't waste any time in starting up a training program.

Flanked from all sides were hovering Beetle-type machines, some of them armed with cannons, and bipedal Hunter series, all armed with cannons and some with shields to boot.

Shadow briefly nodded before the machines kicked alive, firing away and attempting to encircle and trap Shadow. The hedgehog wouldn't let them do so, spinning through them with ease. As some fell, others took their place.

He had to be on his guard, though - not only could they get him good at any time, he was afraid someone was walk in and get caught in the crossfire. He just hope that, if someone did, Stacy would stop the simulation.

"Your Maria was a remarkable one then," Alessa replied. "I worked through the host of a girl named Alessa. She was a quiet, scared little girl who had no father, and for that reason she was seen as a product of sin. She was molested, ostracized, feared and finally burned in an attempt to 'purify' her. It was only through their own folly and cruelty that she did not die, that dark forces worked in her favor and I went to her to exact revenge. Those that would call me cruel need only see the state that Alessa was after all of the things they did: she was barely recognizable, and overcome with hate. That is what they did to her."

She gestured to herself. "What you see is a distorted version of that girl, but one that chose to serve her purpose and create a truth in that world, and that truth became Silent Hill."

"It's the way of many bull headed humans," Alessa replied. "A policewoman with good intentions also had to lose her life to protect the last innocent part of Alessa, and then those fools stabbed the woman who tried to speak sense to them. But they were unaware in doing that, their hate would release me into their sanctum. That was the end of their running from me: they paid dearly and forever that day."

Alessa smiled. "I am not sure what I will do on this craft yet. My future is uncertain, only that I know I am drawn to recreating Silent Hill again. It is the only home that I feel comfortable now."

"A wise judgement," Alessa said. "I'm doing just that: sitting and waiting. I don't know what I'll find in this place."

Alessa gave him a raised eyebrow, with just the hint of a smile. "I don't necessarily equate a lot of speaking with having something to say. I happen to be perfectly fine with your company. I prefer it."

"I do," Alessa said. "You must have assumed by the first time we met that I was looking through the ship, watching people. It is my nature. Coming to you again was my indulgence, something I decided to do because I chose it."

And she knew that was all that needed to be said. She and he were of few words.

"You might regret that," Alessa warned. "Though if you haven't run screaming from me now, I'd say yo have a fair chance."
